The Trinity is the idea of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit being one entity.

I've added the definition of Trinity below, but I've also heard it described this way: think of a rope. It is 3 seperate strands twisted together, these 3 strands make up one rope. You wouldn't call a rope "ropes" because it's made of 3 parts, just like you wouldn't call God "gods".
"Trinity
a word not found in Scripture, but used to express the doctrine of the unity of God as subsisting in three distinct Persons. This word is derived from the Gr. trias, first used by Theophilus (A.D. 168-183), or from the Lat. trinitas, first used by Tertullian (A.D. 220), to express this doctrine. The propositions involved in the doctrine are these: 1. That God is one, and that there is but one God (Deut. 6:4; 1 Kings 8:60; Isa. 44:6; Mark 12:29, 32; John 10:30). 2. That the Father is a distinct divine Person (hypostasis, subsistentia, persona, suppositum intellectuale), distinct from the Son and the Holy Spirit. 3. That Jesus Christ was truly God, and yet was a Person distinct from the Father and the Holy Spirit. 4. That the Holy Spirit is also a distinct divine Person."

The trinity is a belief that God is 3 persons, as ONE,co equal, co-eternal.

The Jews worshiped YHWH who claimed to be One Almighty God. Many times YHWH referred to his Spirit, as performing activities. The Spirit of God, has been translated from his hand, arm and finger, and He himself.

Jesus is the Son of God. Jesus said, the Father is his Father and God.

True there are 3 nouns mentioned. However, I personally recognize the Father as God Almighty, the same as the Holy Spirit; which is One person, and Jesus Christ his Son. I see two persons.

I do not see them as co-equal or co-eternal. If in fact, Jesus has a Father, so for that reason alone he cannot be co-equal or co-eternal. There are other scriptures referring to Jesus as the firstborn of all creation, and as having an origin.

2Cor.3:17 Now YHWH is The Spirit and where the spirit of YHWH is, there is liberty.

I was raised to believe the trinity, but upon study of the Bible, I find the Bible supports One God, with many Sons, primarily Jesus who was sent to earth, primarily to restore the worship of his Father by mankind. Job 1:6, Luke 3:38.

People who strongly believe God is a trinity always refer to the scripture when Jesus said; John 10:30 'I and the Father are One.' For one thing there are only ....2... persons here that are One. Also, the question is how are they ONE?

Jesus at John 17, also speaks of being One with the Father. Here in verses 20-22, Jesus asks his Father, that all those putting faith in Jesus through God's word, all become ONE with them. Does this mean they all become part of a trinity, to be worshiped, or does it mean One, in unity, in truth?

The Jews worshiped YHWH, as One God. Why should that change to a trinity when Jesus arrived? Isn't it true that pagans worshiped a trinity, and this became part of of political Christianity, primarily by Constantine, in the 3rd century, along with other pagan ideas?

Within Christianity, the doctrine of the Trinity states that God is a single Being who exists, simultaneously and eternally, as a perichoresis of three persons (personae, prosopa): Father (the Source, the Eternal Majesty); the Son (the eternal Logos or Word, incarnate as Jesus of Nazareth); and the Holy Spirit (the Paraclete or advocate). Since the 4th Century AD, in both Eastern and Western Christianity, this doctrine has been stated as "One God in Three Persons," all three of whom, as distinct and co-eternal "persons" or "hypostases," share a single Divine essence, being, or nature. Supporting the doctrine of the Trinity is known as Trinitarianism, and is opposed to the positions of Binitarianism (two deities/persons/aspects), and Unitarianism (one deity/person/aspect), which are held by some minor Christian groups.

The Trinity is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. They are one in essence, but unique persons. God has existed as the Trinity from eternity past and will until eternity future. They are equal, but that does not make them the same.

It is strictly a catholic idea that was begun centuries ago. The idea is to group God into three equally powered entities. Father, son, and Holy spirit.
Actually it doesn't work that way.
In the beginning, Jehovah took his great power (the Holy spirit) and created Jesus, who he worked with to create all things.
Jesus was given eternal life only when he died on earth giving up human life and was rewarded by Jehovah, with "A" God's eternal existence and powers.
Remember, even the Angels can die.
Jesus could not have been God and die, so his conversion came at his earthly death, and he was resurrected by Jehovah to eternal life.
As I said before, the Trinity doesn't exist anywhere but in the catholic church. Yes, they put proof in their bibles for people to believe in, but you can write a book and put in it what you want there, also,

Could mean the fundamentals of all creation. Two separate individuals create a third, also known as tacit triad.

Or the capabilities of the mind remembering the past, identifying the present, and imagining the future.

Or the holy relationship between the mind the body, and the connection between the two like Father = mind son = body holy spirit = communication between the two.

God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

It is hard to explain but they are one God but they are each God, Jesus is God the Son but he is no less God.

Some people use the egg to help understand it, you have three parts to the egg, the shell, the white and the yoke, but it is still one egg. If you order an egg for breakfast you don't normally get the shell but you still think it is an egg you receive.

I think that this is a poor helper in explaining it but it is used. It along with many other things are difficult to understand, but that's where faith comes in.

God said it, I believe it...

The best way we have, as humans, to put the essence of God into words. There is no way of understanding fully what it means to be three in One. Like everyone said, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
