I would think the washing machine would drown most of them and then the hot dryer would at least fry them?

So according the wikipedia, I should wash them, but instead of drying them, freeze them?

Wash the clothes separately. Do not mix them with other clothing that has not been infested. Use hottest water. Some have said that adding baking soda with the soap will help. Dry them on high heat if the fabrics will allow for that.

Here is some info (scroll down to near the bottom for household cleaning suggestions).

Yes, washing and drying will kill most if not all of the fleas in your clothing. As I should know, having had to deal with fleas after puppy-sitting a flea-infested dog!

Make sure you treat the rest of your house too so you won't get any nasty surprises when the new fleas hatch.

Good luck!

Yes soapy water will kill fleas but the best way to make sure they are dead is to leave the clothes soaking for awhile. Whenever I comb my cats or dogs and I find fleas I brush them off the comb into a container of highly concentrated dishsoap and water. Works very well.

Simply washing and drying your clothes will not kill all the fleas as it will do nothing to the eggs. you need too use a flea killer spray on your clothes and then wash them.
