I was prescribed Microgynon 30 for painful periods, i take x3 packs of 21 then take 7 day break. I was on the 18th pill of the first pack when i had unprotected sex a week ago. I take my pills everynight give or take an hour or so. Im now feeling sick, quite tired and am getting cramp in my stomach even though i shouldnt have a period for another 2 packs. Could i be pregnant or most likely paranoid?

I take 3 packs in row cuz i use to get such painful periods and have to take days off work. this means that i only get a period every 63 days and they are less painful. Because i dont take them as instructed ont he pack could this increase my risk? I have been taking the pill since October of last year. The doctor told me to take it like that.

I have never got these cramps after the first pack before nor have i ever felt sick with on the pill. Im moodier than ever aswell in the past 2 days and also fell asleep yesterday and the day before mid-afternoon.

Do a test at least you'll know then.

You're probably;y not, but I would ask your OB/Gyn if there are any side effects to the pill you are taking. This could be one of them. I had the same problem for years and just dealt with it. I missed a lot of days in high school because of it. The pain wasn't quite as bad after I had my first child, then even a little better after the second. I still get really bad cramps, but at least I don't have my period for almost two weeks straight anymore. It's down to normal length, about 5-7 days usually, and the pain is still quite bad for the first 2-3 days, but it doesn't put me in the bed anymore. I think you should talk to your doctor and your body will eventually run through this and settle down a little. If you are still worried that you are pregnant, then you should take a test just to be sure.

The First Signs
At this time, you have no idea you're pregnant. But inside you, the little ball of cells that will eventually develop into your baby is working hard, dividing and growing.
"The contact between the mother's blood and the fertilized egg starts the hormonal changes that lead to the symptoms of pregnancy," says Goetzl. The hormone change caused by pregnancy causes similar symptoms to the hormone change caused by an oncoming period, such as tender breasts and mood swings.

Jessica Mandoki-Cook, an expectant mom from San Francisco, Calif., mistook her first symptoms of pregnancy for signs that her period was coming. Her first clue was a painful orgasm during sexual intercourse. "I didn't know it was a sign of pregnancy," she says. "We just thought I had some weird ovary thing and that it was a sign that my period was coming." Mandoki-Cook also experienced extreme emotions, which she mistook for premenstrual syndrome.

"My first sign was a pain in my breasts," says Jennifer Matlack, a mom from Bethel, Conn. "A very deep, gnawing pain, nothing like the pain I normally get around my period."

When Janene Mascarella, a mom from Miller Place, N.Y., got pregnant with her second baby, she experienced the same food cravings she had with her first pregnancy. "[During] my first pregnancy I strangely found myself drawn to the deli department at my grocery store," she says. "My husband and I weren't officially trying to have a second baby, but we were just kind of winging it. At a dinner party, I sat down before a platter of salami and cheese and whispered to myself, 'meat.'" When her husband heard her, he knew she was pregnant again, Mascarella says.

Many women mistake the first signs of pregnancy for signs that their period is coming because in both cases, similar symptoms result from hormonal changes. "Other early signs are needing to go to the bathroom more frequently, tiredness, a more sensitive sense of smell, nausea and then obviously a missed period," says Goetzl.

The Pregnancy Test
Up to this point, you may have had your suspicions. Sore breasts, raging hormones, a nauseas feeling and finally a missing period all pointing to pregnancy. But until you take a pregnancy test, you can't be sure. So what triggers a positive reading on the at-home pregnancy test?
"When the fertilized egg implants in the lining of the uterus, a hormone called beta HCG, or human chorionic gonadotropin, becomes present and increases as the pregnancy continues," says Goetzl. "This is what the pregnancy test detects."

At this point, you've been pregnant for a month or so. The baby inside you is still very tiny, but it has a heartbeat, and the nervous system, stomach, lungs, liver and pancreas have started to form. That's quite a dramatic change from a sperm and an egg.

Before you even know for sure that you are pregnant, your baby is going through the most dramatic changes of his or her life. And one of the most amazing parts of being pregnant is knowing that your baby started as a sperm searching for an egg. The process of fertilization and the start of a new life is the first of many miracles of parenthood.

If you don't wanna get pregnant, keep your legs closed - it's simple.

You are probably not pregnant, but do a test just to be sure. I would recommend changing to a more long term contraceptive such as the implant or injection. I had no periods at all with either method and they are both excellent. Pills are not so good because you can forget to take them!

you substances the youngster any call you wish. yet do not forget that the youngster's call won't be able to get replaced except you pay and petition in courtroom to regulate the call. So make certain now or quickly what it is going to likely be on the start certificate. also, you could call whoever you want because the daddy, yet you could purely get toddler help from that guy if he signed the start certificate or you're taking him to courtroom to prepare he's the daddy. imagine solid and puzzling about all of it beforehand you make certain what call and who you're putting on the certificate. it may under no circumstances be thoroughly replaced, purely altered and that is a hardship.

If you have been taking them since October, and have not missed one, then probably not. You do need to call your doctor about this because it sounds like you're having side effects. Never have unprotected sex.

You COULD be pregnant. I'd go and get checked out at the doctor's office.

Sounds like you have endometriosis? I guess if you are pregnant, maybe you won't have such painful periods anymore.

I have had 3 children and never had stomach cramps but just go and get a tester kit, one detects the hormone earlier than others (5 days) get this one.
