I think its good to examine the accuracy of our beliefs, there will always be room for being misled. You have to search both sides of the spectrum....on one hand you have historical evidence...both factual evidence and theories...then you have to look at it from a faith based aspect and see why and what people have faith in. I think that you have to understand human nature to fully understand why we believe what we belive...you also have to understand why other people believe what they do.

No you can't be mislead.

The truth is the truth. It stands up quite well on its own.

The only way you can miss it is if you never examine the accuracy of your beliefs.

Then any false beliefs that you have will be safe from the truth.

Love and blessings.

Can we be mislead? Certainly. We are brave enough to examine the accuracy of our beliefs, unfortunately we are also biased on our beliefs. That's why so much time is wasted criticizing others beliefs. If we can destroy what others believe this somehow justifies what we believe. Instead of looking at my belief and risking I may be wrong, I will destroy your belief to strengthen my own. We all do it.

It is incredibly important to examine what you believe. Don't just take what you have learned and run with it. Test it. I am a Christian. I grew up a Christian, but I am continually studying the Scriptures and examining life to make sure that it matched up. The reason life on this earth has become "religious" is because people don't take the time to examine what it all means. When you do, you can find real freedom. Not rules and regulations. Truth. It is the only way to live.

My beliefs are not based on revealed religion, so they are safe and harmless. I won't kill anyone over my God. Yes, I am brave enough to examine what I believe. I went from being raised a Christian, to becoming a full-on atheist, and now I am a Deist. I'm happy with it.

Unfortunately, many people are either too lazy to investigate, too puffed up with pride, or in denial of what they already see. Perfect targets for Satan the Devil to lead them away from the truth. Remember, "among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through."-2 Corinthians 4:4.

Yes, people can be misled very VERY easily. It started with Eve being misled to believe eating the fruit was okay. There are so many false teachers in the world, everyone needs to seriously examine their beliefs to see if they contain human error, or if they're wholey of God.

People who believe cannot have anything to do with rational thought since that would immediately show them how absurd their belief was. They prefer to stay in their fairy tale land and hide away from the real world. You can cure ignorance but not stupidity.

Our beliefs are based on God's promises, if we take advantage of his promises fully, we will not be led astray. It is when your spiritual experience is purely intellectual that you can be led astray. The Bible says that knowledge puffs up and the main battleground of the devil is in the mind. The more time you spend walking in faith vs. intellect, the safer you will be.
