living creatures were born with the instinct of survival and dying defies that instinct.it is an emotional trait.it has nothing to do with desire or the lack of it.

The fear of the unknown is often a major reason people fear things, however the fear of death is associated with the loss of someone or something close or important to us. Children fear death of a parent because they are scared of being left alone.

I think that people fear death because noone really knows what comes after it. It seems so final. What if there is a possibility that we just die and that is it. People talk about wanting to get to heaven but your soul just goes to heaven,
what does that really mean? I heard there is no sex in heaven, I guess you don't eat in heaven, so why is it called heaven, I think the questions that people don't really have the answers to is what scares them about death.

Due to attachment with relatives, friends and parents and children; besides with material possessions. Death itself is the greatest form of fear. It is also an animal instinct to survive by any means that prompts in the sub-conscious to fear death which is cessation of life.

That's an easy one. Because they are afraid of the unknown
People are afraid of the dark of other races of other religions of everything and anything they haven't taking the time to learn about. This planet would be a much nicer place to live if people would just learn.
I believe the reason we have gods is that gods are easy to believe in. Once people take the time to understand/ learn about the world the drop there god.

There are plenty of reasons. Having not done anything meaningful, uncertainty if their really is a god, a heaven or an afterlife. Not to mention this is the time that we really get to think on whatever we did with our lives, if we've wasted it or not.

because they are afraid of what comes after. like is it just nothing or do you really have an afterlife with god, or are you reincarnated as a differant person. its a scary thing but people have to accept it because they'll face it one day or the other.
