why do we think we are better than them?i know that prostitutes charge a service for their fee. Many are kidnapped/tricked and sold into prostituition and forced to lose their virginty to strangers whereas "normal society people" who sleep around with the ppl they are "in love/lust" with at the moment have a choice whether they want to do it or not.and by the time they marry, they are like 2nd hand products as they had already lost their virginity to the wrong guys/gals (ex bfs and gfs). Pls note-this is not meant to insult others but just want to share this nagging thought in my mind

I am not insulted. I agree. But, I think society as a whole looks down on them because they are not what they would consider "normal." Normal, is losing your virginity to some guy in the back of a truck, not get paid hundreds of dollars to give it to someone. It's not right, but thats the wayit is.

Prostitution was at one time a holy office in religion, in service to the Gods. Since these were not Christian God, there is that stigma. Christians seem to equate sexual intercourse with having babies, one does not go to a prostitute with the intention of getting her pregnant, thus sex is being used as a pleasurable activity, again this is frowned upon by some aspects of Christianity. Prostitutes also were working women, not always under the control of a man. So much for the male-dominance paradigm of the Christians.

And yet, we see Neo-cons like Rush Limbaugh getting caught coming back from the Dominican Republic, a place notorious for underage prostitutes, with illegal Viagra. Whatever could this neocon paragon have in mind?

Yes, prostitution can be a hazardous way of making a living, especially when the prostitutes are denied protection under the law. Pimps and pushers can make their lives hell. STDs can end lives, so can beatings, and addictions.

As others have said here, what is the difference between a mistress, a call girl, and a prostitute? Perhaps the wage-scale. In a society where women are denied other jobs that earn comparable salaries or education to get those jobs, prostitution will always find those who will work. and will find men who will pay.

As an artist, I respect them. Many great painters immortalized them.

There is a lot of misinformation in your proposition, although I agree with your conclusion.

The difference between most "normal society people" and prostitutes is greater financial sophistication by prostitutes. Prostitutes use cash to value their services, while "normal society people" still use the the less sophisticated barter system used by pygmies and the Yanamamo Indians.

Is there any difference between dinner and drinks ($100 and up) and a night of screwing, versus straight cash ($100 and up) for bedroom services.

In fact, I am not sure if prostitution is the sale of sex at all. Isn't it just paying the woman to leave you alone, shut the door on the way out, and to keep her mouth shut after.

Think about how much better life would be if we all just took it down to the fundamentals.

I think it is because of the stigma - prostitute connotes

We have seen on the TV / movies that they are a cause of broken marriages, STD's and a lot more.

We have been taught they are immoral, money hungry women, etc.

What they didn't teach us is that they are also a human being, there must be a reason why they are doing it, what are the circumstances why they end up that why.

sweetheart the fact is I do not condone prostitution, however I believe that these are people the same like us, people who surely need help. I mean you said it yourself, they are doing this thing not by choice but forced by many unfortunate family circumstances. these people need to be helped, psychologically, financially or any otherwise.

The reason why people look down on them, I think its because we are living in a very judgmental society. and judging does not help, I think the church and government can play a vital role in helping these young potential woman

properly i will fly in the face of everyone else the following. at the same time as everyone walks in the room, regardless of gender or age (0 months to 100) i look at them up and down. i will guarantee you i don't have sex on ideas nor am I seeing in the adventure that they are eye-catching, because i'm no longer fascinated in that in any respect. I suss human beings out because i'm nosy and also, on the premise of is this individual secure to be round (with adults extremely) - do they offer the impact of being gobby, inebriated, criminal, and so on, does that blouse somewhat bypass with those trousers, oh my god how can she positioned on that, and so on. sure, i'm sat there making snap judgements on everyone who comes everywhere close to me which do not contain sex. So do no longer make computerized judgements about what's happening on between human beings's ears, you need to properly be way incorrect.
