If you don't want anymore answers, pick a best so the question closes! Though I wouldn't pick one of the persons who can't read the question to see it's for NON-UK persons.

Cheers

(BTW - it's a scone without fruit, mostly a southern-states thing. And to correct one other poster, it is NOT pure fat. And cookies are cookies, NOT sweets. Sweets are what you would call pieces of candy.)

A biscuit is a type of bread. It's kind of like a roll, but flatter and of a different texture. More like a scone, I guess but without raisins or currants. They're delicious. Anyone who doesn't think so just hasn't had good biscuits. Also, biscuits can be served at any meal...not just breakfast. Biscuits are made from a dough and cut out with a round cutter, and baked on a baking sheet.

A cookie is sweet, while a biscuit is hard and crunchy but not so sweet. It's not a cracker either (too soft.) It's what we give to babies to eat when they are teething.

Its small savory cake, sort of. Made with white flour, butter, and a little milk. Makes a thick batter. Then ya roll it out and cut it, or shape it into rounds or spoon it into a buttered pan to bake. Typically a breakfast food, but also served with fried chicken.
