whenever anybody goes out, i freak out. I presume the worst has happened and end up staring out the window, crying my eyes out, and having panic attacks in which i cannot breath, and end up almost fainting. I don't know why this is. It's only recent. I have, however, always been a very paranoid person. What does this mean? And how do i overcome it?

Please go see a doctor or therapist. This will only get worse if you don't get it under control soon. A combination of meds and psychotherapy will most certainly help. Good luck.

I would guess that at some point in your life there was a real or even imagined separation of someone you loved or cared about very much. I used to do this when my father went to work. (My mother died when I was 4 years old) so I felt the same. I don't think we ever get over it, but we handle it better. Try this....distance yourself by imagining a beautiful tropical island with glorious sunshine and a blue sparkling sea....breathe slowly and deeply and you'll relax.

Go to the doctor and ask for xanax to help you calm down. You are paranoid from something that happended to you in the past few years. I believe you have lost someone close and you dont want to have that feeling again so you get nervous and upset when someone leaves.
