Wicca is an earth based religion. They show respect not only for one another, but also nature..and all that that entails.
Scott Cunningham wrote some books on Wicca.. he is the most sincere author concerning this. He walked the walk and talked the talk.. he wasn't out for al the $$$ as most authors are.
There's Green Witchcraft - books 1 - 2 - 3
susunweed.com is also a green witch..
You can also respect what's around you, and not be wiccan..
I believe St. Francis of Assisi would also fall into this category.. respect everything that was around him

The word WICCA means witch. Wicca religion w/c originated from Wales was associated w/ paganism and witchcraft. It's a nature oriented religion which worships both female and male deity. regarding the female as goddess, and god as consort. It was regarded as the worship of demons by the catholic religon when it brought christianity to Europe. It has celtic connection and worshippers form groups called coven much like the witches. Have you heard about the Pastafarian religion.?common among scholars and philosophers who refuse to accept traditional religion. It's the worship of a Flying Spaghetti monster. which look like a big octopus.

Wicca is a 'magical' religion.

It was invented in the 1920s so that followers would not be persecuted under anti-witchcraft laws.

Many rituals and customers are derived from Celtic customs, such as fetishing the full moon, praying within 'magic circles', and worshipping the elements. Many Wiccans form groups called covens, and perform these rituals as a community

Modern witchcraft. They say Wicca, because they don't want people making stereotyped assumptions about it. Wiccans believe that whatever good or bad you do comes back to you 3-fold, so they generally work with the forces of nature to bring healing and love to themselves and others.

I have a neighbor who is a Wiccan. She jokingly calls herself the witch next door. My ex-boyfriend refused to even meet her, because he thought she would put an evil spell on her. That's such a myth. Wiccans don't do that, because they believe that would come back at them 3-fold. He was just being ignorant.

Wicca is an earth-based religion, meaning in general, Wiccans honor the earth. Some Wiccans call themselves Pagans, or Neo-Pagans.

wicca is a form of earth religion. we worship a dual Diety, God/Goddess, seperate but completely equal. the God Rules the Day, and the Goddess, the Night. we have 13 sabbats, or High Holidays, that we celebrate, that mark the passage of the circle of the yr, from planting to harvest, and back again. We don't believe there is one correct path for all ppl to the Divine, but that each person finds their own way, and that all ways are valid and equal. Our Wiccan Rede, or Law, says that as long as you're not hurting anyone, including urself, u can do what you want. this doesn't give us free reign, however. it doesn't just mean 'hurt' in the physical sense, but in financial, spiritual, emotional, and in every other sense of the word. i hope this helps.
