on a construction project, my mom opted for an easier solution when my dads solution was too hard to implement effectively. now my dad has vowed to never have anything to do with it. Now neither my mom nor my dad can do anything about it and she wants me to go oversee the thing when i have absolutely no experience @.@

is there an easier way to deal with this than what i'm thinking of?

This maybe an opportunity to show your parents you can handle a situation better than them. Research your project, if you have to call someone like Home Depot, call them, Get-R-Done, then ask your parents what the big deal was?

As a parent I stay out of my kids arguments unless I really have to get involved..
let mum and dad resolve their own issue but I do give my honest opinion if asked by my kids.
Give you honest opinion that's all you can do

If you are in charge, hire an outside contractor. That will get your parents both instantly involved again.
