Do you think this is the case? It's easy for a country supplied with our weopons to beat up on a country without but if the enemy was equally armed I don't believe Israel would win.
Also what if the tables were turned and Israel was the country with a weak military and Hezbollah had the powerful military would they fare as good as Hezbollah? I think no.

If Hezbollah is supplied by Syria and Iran then they are really no different then Israel as they are supplied by the US.

It's not even Israels land.

I think Hezbollah would be able to defeat Israel. A lot of people don't understand why this group was even formed. They are fighting for the rights of Arabs in Lebanon. They do not want to be taken over by Israel.

I am Canadian and have no ties with the middle east. But I can easily see why there is resistance to Israel. They are never satisfied with what they have. Isn't enough that they now have a country after stealing all that land from the Palestinians?

do you not understand that was Hezbollah is doing in Lebanon is the same as what the insurgents are doing in Iraq? The Israelis train for combat, not the pussy wannabe guerilla warfare crap employed by Hezbollah. They shoot and then run shoot and then run, it is not a battle... in fact its not better than what the insurgents are doing with IED's...this is not combat. Israel has got one of the best military's in the world.

And do you know anything about what is going on there? how can you argue that this should not be happening? Hezbollah raided Israel, took 2 soldiers captive and killed 8 others with no instigation from Israel, and even now all you hear about is the bombs falling on Lebanon...well the same thing is happening to Israel.

IF the dog would not have stopped to take a S*H*I*T ,,,,,, he would have caught that rabbit. IF is a small word in such a large statement. The fact is, IF hezbollah had not been murdering innocent people, and committing crimes against the NATION of Israel, Non of this would be happening. SO, all things being what they are, hezbollah is getting exactly what they deserve, and Lebanon is paying the price for not stopping hezbollah in their own country. Propaganda or not, murder is murder, and NO nation has to sit back and take it, and no other nation should sit back and allow it to happen from their country.

Hezbollah rockets are falling on Israel's land, so I am not sure what you meant by your "not their land' remark.

However, if both armies were equally matched, then it seems more likely there would be a stalemate or a draw.

There will be a stalemate anyway since the fighting will stop and then Hezbollah will get more rockets from Iran and Syria and then start shooting rockets at Israel again.

If there any clear answer to this it would have been settled in the middle ages during the crusades . why even ask such a question when everyone knows that there is no way that the U.S. will ever allow that to happen . Hezbaalah is nothing but a bunch of farmers with pitchforks compared to the training that Israels military goes through . Hezbaalah is just a bunch of un-organized terrorists , that would run to the hills if they saw a Merkava tank rolling up on them .

It is Israel's land and has been since recorded history, back to the days of the Persian and Egyptian empires. Find the Palestinians in History. Nomads that have always lived on others land. Hezbollah is nothing more than cowards that hide behind women and children.

I agree with you to a point. Hezbollah has training in death. Period. They murder, torture, dismember....this is their m.o.
Israel, although they have a well equipt and large military, aren't trained to be murderers. They are trained to defend their country. If Hezbollah continues with success, the Middle East will soon be in complete ruin.

It has so little to do with the source of weapons that I hardly know where to begin. The Israeli military is one of the strongest in the world especially when you consider the size of their country. They are dedicated, well trained, and well focused on their objective. No contest!
