Do not have to worry about original sin, I'm Muslim. By eating the apple both Adam (pbuh) and Eve were guilty but only against themselves not Allah.

Now, if you think the original sin was sex, the Bible says otherwise.

The intended perfect earth would have sustained a large population of people. The blessed ground would have been bountiful.
I feel the 'fill the earth' part would still be going on if life was perfect without the original sin.

I read once that medieval theologians once literally (it being the Dark Ages) calculated the actual amount of time Adam and Eve spent in the Garden of Eden before they ate the fruit from the tree of knowledge -- that is, had sex -- and God kicked them out.

6 hours.

Perhaps it was 8 hours. Anyway, that's what they thought in the Middle Ages. Not bad for a first date - that's about the standard time, I would think.

By judeo christian "mythology" used in Sacred texts of Old Testament, yes , without original sin we would not be here on this Earth, we would be still in the Paradise from Genesis.

I love original sins, I'm quite bored with the old ones. Got pics?

Are you implying it had to do with sex? Well, it had nothing to do with sex. It was actually humans wanting to determine for themselves what is good and what is bad. That was the original sin. Sex in itself is not sinful, but it has to respect the other person's dignity, which is why it has to take place within certain limits.

Original Sin was disobedience, not sex. Allegedly God told A and E don't eat from the "tree of knowledge" (rolls eyes), but they did and were bansihed.

Isn't that a strange concept? Even though I'm a Christian I've never bought into that whole thing. I don't believe that we are all born sinners. It is freaky when you hear the fundamentalists yelling, and screaming about what horrible, bad, evil, rotten people we (all human beings) are. We have a choice.

Original Sin ?

What was the sin , eating the "forbidden fruit " , as in a FRUIT or was there an inference to copulation. ?
Anyway, man/animal have been designed to copulate ..............
Given that, those "urges" are inherent , so it's obvious that WE would be here !

We are in the material world due to a misuse of free will, we desired to exist separately from God, therefore he is so kind that he gives us full facility to do so, via his external or material energy. Real love is unconditional.
