Is he like a voice inside your head answering your questions? A feeling you have? Is he your conscience? How can you tell your conscience from God or your own personal thoughts from God's responses?

God doesn't talk to people. Some people are crazy, and they hear voices, and they assume they aren't crazy, and that the voice is God. Therefore people who hear God just hear their own voices, or maybe they're on drugs and hear stuff. Plus just look at all the people who God "did" talk to. All of them were from ages past. Why not ever nowadays? Why would God chose you?Most people are arrogant and they believe God chooses them because they're holy or good or some nonsense. They are not. If God really wanted to talk to people, don't you think he'd chose everyone? Why would God make it a mystery?

God communicates in a multitude of ways:
1) He speaks--sometimes audibly sometimes in that small still voice you sorta feel in your gut
2) He uses others to tell us what He would have us to know
3) Situations--He sets things up where we can do only one thing
4) And His word the bible.
I have experienced all of these but the audible voice of God.

God, through the Holy Spirit guides me in the decisions I make everyday, and in my contacts with others on a daily basis. No, it is NOT in words, it is more like relm of conscience, like you said.

He gives indication by His Spirit and His word.
He may manipulate the physical world to allow you to test what He is trying to get across to you.

ALLAH is The Nearest One to you,He is closer to you than your viens.always He loves you,even if u are sinner,always calls you,especially when you are away,and ofcourse always answers your calls,prayers,asks........
He will not answer you by words.
His answers will be around you,you will find it,feel it,touch it and will re-act with it,and that is called by the practicle answers coz His answer will affect your life,each time He answers you,your life will be changed and your relation with Him will be changed,your life will be better and your relation with Him will be stronger.
I can not describe the relation between ALLAH and His creatures,coz each one of us has his own relation with ALLAH,all relations are different.
ALLAH is in your heart,in your blood,in your breath.
and be sure from that ALLAH loves you even more than you love yourself.just ask ALLAH with the good things and waite for His answers.

Not with voice, with events. That is like spiritual and haven't nothing with voice. Words is small to describe God.

yes He is in my conscience by my believing in his word.The
Holy Spirit dwells in me & my frame of mind is upon my lord,
thereby, influencing my thoughts, & my actions. When you truly
believe in God, your thoughts are God's thoughts, for you are 1
with him.

I think that he speaks to you through a calming feeling. Even when I don't like the answers, I at least feel peace.

i don't think god talks to us.but the only thing that i hear in my head is whenever i do something wrong, i hear a voice in my head saying "DON'T do it. be SMART." remember me, selnyk?! you're the one who RUDELY emailed me.
