I believe in gravity and it's easy.

I believe in water.

I could choose not to believe in water and stop drinking I, but I wouldn't last long. I could choose not to believe in gravity but I couldn't levitate (well according to some theories.....).

It is almost impossible to not believe in those things.

Why is Christian-God belief so difficult?

Is Hindu-God belief so difficult?

I don't agree that the decision to believe is anything more then that: A conscious decision on the part of an individual to believe.. The work comes in trying to justify that decision

Because you fear the unknown. It is very hard work to stay in GOD's good graces. You deal with everday life and the people in it. You get the good and the bad. You go through all trials of life that at times you question WHY is HE allowing this. But in the end, you come full circle and realize HE will never leave you or put too much on you that HE knows you can't handle. We are not robots. We have choices. It's all about making the right choices. Alot of people want to hate GOD for such superficial reasons. Some people are way too inteligent that they try and use logic and reason to figure him out. If everyone would just allow themself to "know" him they would get the understanding they need. It's all about choice. You either choose to believe or not. I guess the worst outcome of believing in HIM, would be that you lived a good life, with great morals and values and your reward is heaven. You can live your whole life doubting or have unbelief of HIS existence and know the possible outcome after death could be hell<-that so many people do NOT believe in. I think I would rather take my chances, believe in HIM, live a good life and have the better reward. If in the end all of this is bogus, think about it? You can die knowing you lived the right way instead of drugs, alcohol, lying, cheating, stealing, murdering, etc. I don't see where the difficulty is.. It's all about morals, values, trust, love and committment to ONE. Once you believe, you will know and feel HIS prescense. This is a true statement. He will always reveal himself to you in more ways than one. It's very hard to live this life with all the sacrifices you have to make with good judgements when all your friends are doing this and that. But the reward in the end outweighs it all.. Hope this helps.....

It is very hard work, we have to work at it every minute. The world is full of things that are placed here by Satan to distract you away from your Creator. The television is bombarding you with immoral life style, commercialism, which can make you have to work harder to obtain those things, and in the process you may not have the time to praise your God, so are so tired. The Internet is also an easy access for young and old to be lead astray. on-line porn. gambling and so many others things are distracting us from the real reason that we are here to praise our Father for the many blessings that he has provided. Remember that even Jesus was tempted by Satan.. Jesus rebuked Peter when he said that Jesus will not have to die. We are trying to get rich by not having to work hard, the Bible warns that the temptation of riches is a snare and many are falling into that trap. I can go on but I will stop now

You can't choose to believe, you either do or you don't. Could you change your belief that easily? I could wake up tomorrow and say I believe in Santa Claus, but the truth is I wouldn't really believe. For me it would be the same thing as choosing to believe in a God, I would be lying to myself.

I think believing in God is not hard work but knowing Him through so much religious literature, can be hard work.I believe that only the GOD is knowledge full and we can know him through the simple knowledge being given by Him.I know it may seem wonderful and perhaps unbelievable at the first sight, but no harm to go to www.brahmakumaris.com if you are a chooser.

Let's start with humility...ok...skip that one...
Belief in God requires a sacrifice of self...ok..that's not likely...
That leaves obediance, and respect. What's so difficult about that, in a modern secular society more concerned with the pursuit of happiness...?

Matthew Chapter 8, Verses 19 and 20 says: And a certain scribe came, and said unto Him, Master, I will follow Thee whithersoever Thou goest. And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of Man hath not where to lay His head. Jesus was telling the scribe that following him would not be easy. There are many obstacles to overcome such as people who are anti-Christian. Many will tell you that they won't go to church because of all the hypocrites in the church. My pastor says, "Go to church with them or go to hell with them."

It isn't hard for the Christian when we have a relationship with the Lord. I talk to Him and He talks to me.
Faith is needed. How did the universe come into existence? Did we beet the odds for life? No, creation is the answer here. And the answer of who created is Jesus.

not really but it depends on what you really think about Him.. you don't need proof to know that there is a God the fact that you're alive just proves His existence... once you become a christian there is a possibility of being tempted to disobeying God.... affter all we are not perfect... others think its difficult because of the ten commandments... for me i'd stick to worshiping Him and try to avoid temptations and bad things

God is something that we can't see.
My believe that everyone should have the sense of karma. It is not about spiritual too.

i believe that if u something bad today, it will happen to u someday. if u do good thing sincerely, good thing will come back to u.

the most important is do not hurt people & do not kill people.
we can't please anyone but we don't need to kill anyone to please ourselves.

regardless of christian, hindu or muslim the most important do not be an extremist and do not involve in war, we all should live in peace.

Peace on Earth,
