I do not promote the organization of hate groups, but you do ask a serious question that involves the rights of free speech, free press, free assembly and freedom of expression. No freedom is absolute---all rights have their restrictions. Without restriction anarchy would prevail. To ban one group while permitting another group to exist is certainly not democracy. The intent of all groups must be examined, however, as to how they affect the majority of society. The welfare of society as a whole must be the governing factor as to what extent any group is allowed to publicly issue and demonstrate its mandates. If it is the intent of a group to incite riot or sedition against the government, then its activities must be sharply curtailed. Do they have the right to free speech? Yes. Do they have the right to disrupt civil and governmental activities? No. There is no group that has the right to interrupt the natural flow of life of any nation through violence or civil disobedience. This is why all nations have laws against such activities. We do not want to become so scewed in our views of groups that we oppose, however, that we put ourselves out of business by our own repressive activities. Politicians, in general, are not people who favor human rights, as the rights of the public generally infringe upon their crooked behavior. Hate groups do not help the cause of civil rights because they give politicians an excuse to pass laws that restrict the rights of all people. I will not stand in the way of any group that wants to exercise its opinions peacefully. Jesus loves us all.

Hate groups are banned from organizing. The problem is, most hate groups have plenty of lawyers to get them out of the hole. Look at the FBI homepage.

Organizing what??? Get togethers, picnics, weekly book clubs...no. Every one has a freedom to have their own opinion and express them.

Now if they organize non-peaceful rallies, and kick peoples asses because of a certain "thing" then...NO. Just because some one doesn't believe in a certain thing doesn't mean they should be punished physically...

Everything is open to interpretation, even opinions...

Don't know if you could do it. It would automatically ban a lot of Christian Groups for a start, and the Republican party wouldn't allow that.
