It is mostly NOT your fault, if you need to lose weight. The way you have been taught to eat is responsible for making obesity the number one health problem in the world (according to Atlantic Monthly magazine) replacing hunger and infectious disease. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin. Not a diet, but diet lifestyle.
Find out about fastest way to lose weight, gradual ways to lose weight, most effective exercise and anti-water. Lose bodyfat and retained water which also makes you a lot fatter (bloated). Most important-- make sure to read the last "fat loss tip", first before anything else, to see the number one food that causes Americans to be fat. After this click on HAPPINESS page to help with self-esteem.

Try not to eat at least for 2 weeks, bread, potatoes, sweets, cake, chocolate and alcohol. Eat vegetables and fruits, as much as you can, low fat yogurt, low fat meat. It worked with me. in 2 weeks i have lost 6 lbs (3 kg). Good luck. But you can also search on internet for the South Beach Diet. It explains the basics.

You don't need to buy a diet plan.. All you need to do is just eliminate that top portion of the food pyramid. Junk food, fast food, soda.. it all is great, (i eat it myself) but to your body, it's crap food, and what you must do is stay away from it. Also, from cutting out junk food from your diet, it could also save you money because fast food, cookies, chips, sodas, candy, it all adds up.
For exercising, if your seriously over weight, just start with walking a bit, if your in O.K. shape, but it's not up to par with your standards, go for a run, do push ups for your upper body strength ( put your hands close together for triceps (when your hands are flat on the ground, and fingers are together, bring them together and touch index fingers and thumbs) spread your arms far apart for your chest) and do various stomach excercises:
like normal sit ups and crunches. You could also lay on your side, and put your hand behind your head and touch your elbow with your hip. Lie flat on your back, and pick your legs up and make a right angle, so your thighs are pointing up, and your calves are parallel to the ground, put your hands behind your head, and touch elbow to knee.. Also, try doing sit-ups or crunches while your legs are in the air.. and after each set, once you get to your last one, hold it up, and your'll feel thr burn.
Also, if you have access to a pool, go swimming, by best friend has been swimming for many years, never picked up a weight in his life, and he is ripped.. So I know you can do it. All you have to do is believe in yourself. Never say never, no can'ts, and never give up. Getting fit is one of the most difficult things out there. You must put your heart and mind into it to succeed. Good luck, I hope all works out!! God Bless!

My personal trainer told me not to eat carbohydrate after lunch. since afternoon people tend to start winding down their activities, carbs turns into fat.
recently there was a world first 12 weekd trial donw by australian researchers. the verdict is in: a high carb diet of low-glycaemic index foods is the best way to loose weight - especially in women.
Low GI Foods: Pears, basmati & dongara rice, pasta, noodles, breakfast, cereals based on oats, barley and bran, salad vegetables
High GI foods: Potatoes, white bread, short-grain white rice, highly processed food
Though they didn't say what time of day these trials were conducted, so I assume carb at nights are still not good????
The study was publisehd 24th July in the Archives of Internal Medicine. Also found in the study, the low GI dieters' bad cholesterol levels droped by up to 6 per cent.

Also, don't forget to exercise, especially some cardio workout!!!!!!!

Gastric Bypass Surgery/gastrectomy/lapband (all types of weight loss surgery) is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges obesity surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.
I have also read that they arrange financing for american and canadian patients as obesity surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your lobesity surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.
My cousin got her obesity surgery in India throught the forerunners healthcare .SHe is more than very happy with the results. She has lost 55lbs in 5 months. She just paid 25% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company.hope this helps

The following healthy living recommendations will help you if you’re trying to lose weight, tone up your muscles, have aspirations of building lean muscle mass, are attempting to get a wash board stomach, or just want to feel better:
*1) Burn more calories then you're consuming everyday and measure your results using the following formula: Calories Consumed minus Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) minus Physical Activity minus the Thermic Effect of Food (TEF). A website that explains this formula in more detail and will help you determine how many calories you need to reach or maintain a certain weight is at http://www.primusweb.com/fitnesspartner/library/weight/calsburned.htm
Get a diet and fitness calculator that you can put on your computer or cell phone. This will allow you to easily calculate the above formula, set goals, log your daily calorie consumption, and register your physical activities.
Set realistic goals for your ideal body weight. Here are two websites that will calculate a suggested body weight:
Adults: http://www.halls.md/ideal-weight/body.htm
Teens/Children: http://www.kidshealth.org/kid/exercise/weight/bmi.html
It is difficult and unhealthy to lose more than one or two pounds per week. There are 3,500 calories in a pound. If you eat 500 fewer calories per day for a week you will lose one pound. If you burn through exercise 500 more calories per day for a week you will lose one pound.
*2) Eat natural and organic foods found on earth versus something created by a corporation to make money. Eat meals in small portions throughout the day and take a good multi-vitamin supplement.
Avoid “High Glycemic Load Carbs” (sugar, pastries, desserts, refined starches such as breads, pasta, refined grains like white rice; high starch vegetables such as potatoes) and drink lots of water. Read this article for more information on high GL Carbs:
http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/nutritionsource/carbohydrates.html
Do not try fad diets or diet pills. Here is an excellent food pyramid that anyone can follow: http://www.rayandterry.com/html/images/PyramidLRG.gif?osCsid=26a424be471d1337e7c2f105d5c64d9d
*3) Exercise on most days by doing cardiovascular training and/or resistance training activities.
Read a book or find a certified trainer to make sure your doing all resistance training exercises correctly. A great book to buy that teaches you the resistance training basics is “Weight Training for Dummies”. A superb magazine to buy with resistance training routines that will not get you bored is "Muscle and Fitness". Signup for the free newsletter. An excellent free online resource is at http://www.exrx.net/
A good book to buy that teaches you the cardiovascular training basics is “Fitness for Dummies”.
*4) Get plenty of sleep. Sleep experts say most adults need between seven and nine hours of sleep each night for optimum performance, health, and safety.
*5) Educate yourself continually on health issues and make a life long commitment to good health. A great free publication is “Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2005”. A superb book to read is “You The Owner’s Manual”. An excellent periodic publication is the “Nutrition Action Health Letter”. A reputable test you can take to measure your biological age is at http://realage.com
Look at all areas where you can enhance your health. For example, make improvements in the quality of the air you breathe. Review outdoor air quality forecasts where you live and get an indoor air purifier. Send me an email or yahoo instant message to "gainbetterhealth" if you want an indoor air purifier recommendation and if you have any questions.
*Click on all the source links below to get the full benefit of the recommendations. The answers presented to your health questions are not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health providers with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition.
