Not really. There social hierarchy is a caste system due to genetics. There is a single queen and the remainder of the working colony are females (with the exception of the relatively few breeding males who die shortly after). The queen inhibits reproduction by other females through pheremone release. These analogous similarities are nothing compared to those of the other apes

Many insect species, including bees, follow the same instinctive hive behavior. Each ant is born as a particular "class" of ant, with a specific function to perform. While their social organization may appear at first glance to be somewhat similar to our own, they are in fact nothing like us at all! :)

oh goodie,,
the ants are really driving me crazy, right now, they keep coming back,
i guess it is the heat, but i am really sensitive to the word ant,
I noticed they are spooky because on minute they are not in sight, then i leave a little juice on table, or dog food in dish, and in ten minutes they are there , covering the food or whatever, and i see not trail, they are all there in a glump..
yikes, and you say they are similar to humans, ?
you are right, and i wonder are they watching me now,
all i need to do is leave some food anything out ,, and they must have an invisable jet plane or something because it is amazing,,
WELL, NOW THAT I AM PARANOID AGAIN,, THANKS
but you are right,
why did you bring this up?? DO YOU HAVE PET ANTS?
lol

I'd say mentally they seem really intelligent but being intelligent doesn't make you similar to humans. All the stuff they do is common sense and if all animals had the capability to think that way, we'd be similar to all animals.
No, we're most similar to pigs and monkeys. Let's leave it at that?

Humans have free will so they sin and spread corruption in earth, ants are much more organized, devoted, hard workers, and cooperative, but they don't have free will, they are obliged to do what they are supposed to do. This link takes you to free online documentary marvelous video of ants social life I recommend it all but particularly part one:

One significant huge difference is that there is purely one reproductive man or woman in accordance to hive or colony: the queen. This makes each and every man or woman type of a huge , without little different factions or communities in the colony (that all of us understand of).

But they lack individual intelligence. All you describe is a hive intelligence. We can exist as individuals and think freely, ants cannot.

We are told to turn to them and watch as the means by which we live in harmony! And they are ran by a woman - maybe that's been America's problems all along!
