in support of an imperfect nation, yet not commit their life to Jesus, who died for them and promises not only eternal life, but a more abundant life right now?

In response to a few answers...
I am certainly not angry over this. Perhaps frustrated at times, but, mostly, happy for my faith, and concerned for those with none. God only asks we share the Gospel...not force it on anyone. God does not coerce anyone to believe...it is each person's choice to have faith in Jesus or not. Thanks for the answers.

Many of these people are brainwashed by their leader to believe they are doing God's will.
Blame the leaders of governments.

Not at all. The U.S. of A. is a tangible place where everyone has the freedom to speech, assembly, and press but one of the most important in my opinion is our freedom of religion that says I don't have to commit my life to Jesus or any other being. How many people have been killed just because they didn't share a faith that was enforced in such a way. Yes the government might be flawed but until there is a better system to adopt (and we do have the freedom to change how our government works too) then I will stick with this one.

It is really not odd when you consider that most people have their thoughts on worldly matters. To most people, their material need outweigh their spiritual concerns. They think only of the immediate, rather than of the eternal. The immediate they can evaluate with the five senses. The eternal they cannot grasp with anything physical, so they put it aside. It is the purpose of the church to make people aware of the eternal, and to emphasize that the material is transient----temporary and passing---but that the eternal is for ever. Jesus loves you.

commitment is very difficult, for everyone. Are you truly committed to the bible. If you are, your life style should reflect it. If you are truly committed to the bible the next time you are alone and you are going to masturbate, ask yourself what does the bible say about this? Hmmm, how strong is my commitment? Why am I so critical of others and didn't the bible clearly say not to judge. The only judge is the bible and in the NT, God lead people to fight in this imperfect nation, for his will. Third, the bible clearly states that everyone won't make it to heaven, so why are you so worried about it? Just worry about yourself and teach others how to commit, Don't criticize them.....I know you are angry, OH well.

I am so glad you made that statement,

and i love all the answers ..
i see that you got sincere people who responded, and said what they thought, it is sad, and confusing, and that is why the fact that good and evil exists,
good= is trying to live, love and prosper, etc
and evil, whatever form it takes, lies, causes pain war, greed, and hate,
and all the while, the ones who indulge in hate, are tricked, and think they are loving GOD AND doing good,

so that is proof of good and evil,, and we must never ignore either, because it can be at your door at any time.

There is serious doubt as to whether Jesus even existed.

The Jesus as God (Superman) myth was invented by the Catholic church and it has no credibility.
