reply to Preacher: you have my pity anyway, whether you feel you need it or not, you aren't in full command of your faculties after all...you have a debilitating religious mind-virus.

Reply to msscarlet47:
I pity most the ones who are so deluded they think it was their own choice...not possible, you've been subjected to propaganda and succumbed to it.

It is difficult to cure those who actively opt for the delusion of religion and shut their minds to rational thought. Regardless of how old they are physically, mentally they are are still children living in a fairy tale land of pretend. They can only be encouraged to grow up and join the real world but it seems most of them don't have the courage.

I don't know why you would want to "pity" Christians any more than you would want to feel "pity" for many other groups of individuals.
As a Christian, I personally don't want or need any ones "pity" I have made a free and well thought out decision to give my life to Jesus Christ and accept salvation by grace through faith. I don't deal in delusions, faith is not a delusional train of thought. The wonderful thing about God is that he does give us free will to think for ourselves and to decide to follow or not follow his instructions, and to accept or not accept his offer of salvation through faith in Christ.
So the answer to your question is no, don't "pity" me, as I don't need it, and there is really nothing that you can do to "help" me with my "delusions" as I don't feel that I am operating under any delusions at all. Remember, what you chose to believe or not believe is simply that, a choice, just because I don't believe what you believe doesn't make me wrong. Isn't it great to live in a country where we can believe whatever we want to?

I know you are having fun with your question, but I used to really feel like you do. I was raised in a fundamentalist household and got away as soon as I could. I felt so sorry for all those people who weren't able to get away like me.
After a miserable first marriage, and one mistake after another, I decided to take a second look at the Christian faith.
I found that life without God had been unprotected foolishness. I didn't go back to what I had been taught. I went forward into my own faith with God. Since then I've have found the peace I had always been looking for, I never want to "overcome" it. That was 26 years ago.

What a lot of answers here seem to be missing is that this is exactly the kind of condescension offered to atheists, Muslims and anyone outside their worldview by SOME extreme Christians - only yesterday I answered two questions that reflected this; one by someone who asked why atheists got upset when people tried to reveal the 'truth' to them, and another asking all Christians to pray that muslims would turn away from their evil religion. Hardly the 'God is love' mentality that is espoused by many good Christians. So offering pity to Christians is merely a looking-glass moment - all those who say "we don't need pity, we have God", fair enough, good for you. Atheists don't need pity or to be prayed-for either. We have Logic.
Thanks for playing.

If you are not a christian, what are you? Do you have faith in any religion? You must be following a set of norms. Are you true to these norms? When some one says that you are not following these norms, will you be prepared for the treatment in the hands of your critics, which you intend to meet out to the deluded christians.

You fight is not with Christians it is with God, Christians have armor against our fight
"Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles
of the. devil." EPHESIANS 6:11.
For our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against authorities and powers,
... but against principalities, against powers 12
Besides, you are only proving God right because the more on target Christians are, the harder the other dominion fights against Him. Satan Himself went head to head with Jesus and lost, so this is nothing new.
You go ahead and cast spells for people, just remember, even Satan needs permission from God to torment people, read Job

I suspect they would not want your pity, or any-ones, and would even attack those who express it. As they refuse to accept the evidence of the world around them, relying completely on blind faith instead, no one will ever overcome their delusions.

The pity is for yourself. You don't believe because you are blind. You are blind because you don't believe. If there is no God, we both lose nothing . If there is a God, only you lose. I never lost only you did, that's not a delusion, thats a fact.
