No,you can't automatically gain citizenship through marriage.I wish it was that easy. :-) . But you can petition for her green card after you get married. Theres alot to the process, plus over 2000 dollars in fines if she's here illegally. And the money has to be paid when you turn in your application. If they deny her, your money is nonrefundable.Thats why when you do apply,go see a local immigration lawyer to help you fill out the paper work.Cause there is ALOT of paperwork and some of it is complicated.
Well, after you apply, theres anywhere from a six month to 5yr wait for knowing if she was approved or denied. Then if she gets her green card, you have to wait atleast 5yrs before applying for citizenship. But as long as she can read and wrie english, that won't be a problem and it costs about $250.00 for that, plus lawyer fees.Good luck and God bless,I just wanted you to know what you are up against. It is possible, though.Just not soley through marriage.

Marriage is enough, but you have to stay married for two years. A lot of women from Asia used to marry American men to become citizens, then they would leave them as soon as they got to America. So, the two-year law was put in place.

You still have to go through a two step process with Immigration. You have to fill out paperwork for her to become a legal alien (green card if she doesn't have it already). Then after a certain amount of time, paperwork for her to become a citizen. She still has to pass the test - government and history questions. Then there's a ceremony where she recites a pledge (with many other people) and she is granted citizenship.
It is NOT automatic.

No it is not enough. You can no longer be a citizen just by marriage. She will have to go through the same citizenship process as before, just a different form.

You can marry any one you want, but is not enough She will have to go through the process. Also be aware that is not warranty. Because if they get info later (No time frame) that was than for the wrong purpose meaning "YOU LIE ON THE FORMS" is retroactive and you two can get penalize big time.

Nope, it's not enough anymore.

It does reduce the amount of time and chances of obtaining citizenship, but she'll have to wait in line just like everyone else. There are websites online that can help explain the process in more detail.

Try these:

Yes, but she will have to go back to her country and wait until you get all the papers in order and request her to come.(That could take years).that is a requirement, for her to go back until that is done..why? don't ask me i think that is stupid why send her back to then come again..they should just provided the citizen immediately after marriage..but i think is to avoid all the fake marriage and know who is real..
