PLEASE READ, VERY IMPORTANT...... Teflon is the universal no-stick-fix. However teflon, when it peals of and is ingested by a person, is very harmful to our internal organs and our immune system. Also teflon will peel of when cooking, but it peels of in such small particles that you wont notice it, until it comes off in a big chunk. The ONLY kind of cooking ware you should use is Stainless Steel, however its exspensive, and there are substitutes that can be pursched instead. Stainless steel is not good for keeping foods from sticking to it, so all tou have to do is grease the pan with Olive Oil before you put anything in it that could damage, or stain the Steel. I hope this was helpful.

First, forget repairing it. Once it's un-stuck, you're outta luck. (Okay, so it's early in the morning...)

Contrary to popular belief, stainless is NOT the only way to go. It's a good idea to have a few non-stick pans in your kitchen, to be used for super-sticky things like eggs. For most stovetop cooking, a good quality (and expensive) stainless pan is best - better conductivity, longer lasting. Some can last twenty or thirty years.

Non-stick is a different story, however. No matter how good the pan is, the surface will eventually start to wear and you'll have to replace it. When it comes to non-stick cookware, your best bet is actually to buy CHEAP pans and replace them frequently.

As far as the health effects, there are studies being done on a chemical that is used to make teflon (NOT an ingredient). At this point, the EPA has not said that teflon is unsafe, and there have been no studies that show otherwise. However, if you have a bird, be careful about overheating the pan, as it can release chemical that are harmful to birds.

Teflon is one of the many substances used in cookware to provide a non-stick surface for pots and pans. It means the food does not stick to the pan. Metal implements can scratch away this Teflon film, and the pan becomes ‘sticky’

Repairing your cookware is not really an option, unless you know anyone who works in a cookware factory, or you could send it to a company to get them to repair it at your expense. Your cheaper option is just to buy a new set.

Therefore your answer is:
Buy a new set, and don’t use metal on it to damage it.

BTW; don’t try sending it back saying its broken, they can easily tell it was damaged by metal implement use.

Teflon products have recently been linked to a whole host of health problems. Go with another kind of quality cookware.

Throw it away, when the Teflon has worn off you are exposing the aluminium underneath which can give you Alzheimers

Alzheimers has been traced to teflon coatings. Get stainless steel.

Don't use it, please throw it out and buy a stainless steel one. Incidentally the best poached eggs are cooked in a saucepan of water, bring the water to the boil, stir it with a spoon, turn the heat down, add the egg and simmer gently until cooked to your liking.

buy new stuff, and when you have new cookware only use a dishcloth and warm soapy water to wash it as those "scrubby" sponges etc wear away the teflon

The best thing I would say is throw it away and buy another one. Otherwise you can give yourself food poisioning.
