I have seen too many articles saying teflon is poison. So I've stayed away from teflon.
This is what one of them says "In two to five minutes on a conventional stovetop, cookware coated with Teflon and other non-stick surfaces can exceed temperatures at which the coating breaks apart and emits toxic particles and gases linked to hundreds, perhaps thousands, of pet bird deaths and an unknown number of human illnesses each year, according to tests commissioned by Environmental Working Group (EWG)."
I'm not too sure how true these allegations are but I've seen teflon surface coming off in pieces and cooking in them gotta be toxic - coz its not food material to put it simply.

Don't know the answer to this but just want to say teflon is my pet hate. When I am washing the dishes my wife says, "don't scrub the pan too hard or you will damage the teflon". Well, derr.. if the teflon was doing its job and preventing food from sticking, why would I need to scrub it at all?!!

Teflon is one of the many substances used in cookware to provide a non-stick surface for pots and pans. It means the food does not stick to the pan. Metal implements can scratch away this Teflon film, and the pan becomes ‘sticky’
Repairing your cookware is not really an option, unless you know anyone who works in a cookware factory, or you could send it to a company to get them to repair it at your expense. Your cheaper option is just to buy a new set.
Therefore your answer is:
Buy a new set, and don’t use metal on it to damage it.
BTW; don’t try sending it back saying its broken, they can easily tell it was damaged by metal implement use.

Sorry, there is no chance for a repair and with broken Teflon Pans you put yourself in danger.
You will have to toss them out and buy a new own.
And please never use any sharp or metal to work you food in a Teflon Pan it will break again.

Teflon is 'non-stick' so it isn't really surprising is it?
