The standard of Godliness in the world can indeed be measured by the degree of suffering that exists within it. However it is the misuse of free will by individual's that creates the lack of synchronicity between ourselves and the Supreme. As soon as we separate ourselves from God and act with worldly desires, based on lust, greed and anger, immediately hellish life manifests before our eyes.

First off, when you address God it should be G-O-D unless you don't believe. Secondly, where are your statistics on churches having all this money and where do you think that money comes from? If you were practicing any faith you would have these answers and I have no idea why people who do not practice bother to ask or care. God does not create Evil, the devil does and its funny how quickly God is blamed and the devil's deeds are over looked. Do you really think today's issues are acts of God or related? Ever think just maybe they are they the delicacies of the devils buffet? I really recommend you read a little on world religions, take a few religious classes or attend/join a church before you begin pointing fingers. And by the way, it's my money and other people who attend a congregation that give or donate to the churches, diocese and so on, not the government not do they pull it out of their asses. Educate yourself before you blast God

Just to answer your question and leave out your added input: religions are never godly - so why should they be any different than politicians - line my pocket and maybe we'll talk? But Jesus Christ, the son of God, does help all the people in this world that choose to allow him too - it might not appear like it on the surface - but that's because too many people have the notion that religions are of God. Then let me ask you a simple parent / child question and you tell me which one is most likely to draw you to your parent in the proper respect a parent is due - Jr. has a temper tantrum and you give in or you swat his behind and tell him it is unacceptable - which action on your part (and I'm not talking about abuse here) is going to cause Jr. to respect you? The swatting is. God is our parent, a parent for all the world, which we seem to often confuse with religion instead of the Truth, and when we as individuals or as mass humanity keep having our little tantrums about the Truth of his reality or the audacity to blame him for the ills of the world instead of taking the responsibililty for our own greed which leads to war and strife, then what is he supposed to do? He will swat us - it's just so many of us turn against our Parent in rebellion in stead of showing respect. So the cycle goes round and round. Which brings us back to the fact that religions are not of God, only faith in Jesus Christ is and that helps people all over this world every day to deal with the fact that there are also people everday all over this world who choose to be rebellious and not obedient children.

Do you honestly think that the solution is more church involvement. Or more government involvement for that fact. The solution is all about choice and time. It will take time to help the world out of poverty, and people will have to choose to live together in harmony. Without that there will laws be hate, and suffering.

Gods are godly and not the religions and churches. Churches are run by men, who are susceptible to the weaknesses of power, money and all that the flesh is prone to. Why blame the God. God is in his heavens and all is well with the world.

Christian faith teaches us that God created the world and everything was ok until Adam and eve sinned against God
Then trouble started when they were evicted from the Garden of Eden where everything was available
Since then man has lived in trouble until present time
This will continue until Jesus christ comes back and destroy satan and his organs of evil
And then God will restore his purpose of creation a perfect existence of God and his creation in complete love
Thus no religion can stop suffering and trouble today until all the prophecy comes true

I perfectly understad what you are saying, I used to think exactly the same whay...
Thus it was important for me to consider what churches do for the poor and needy before I cast judgement...and I was amazed to finid that such churches have no need to publicly advertise their efforts to keep everyone else happy and viewing them in positive light, as they are happy to do it in seceret and please God in private.
Such churches exhurts millions of dollars every year to feed the hungry, clothe the needy and educate childeren, all over the world. All you have to do is consider names such as 'Anglicare' or 'Mother Teressa Foundation' or 'St. Francis of Assissi Brotherhood' or the 'Christian Orthodox Christian Mission' or 'Coptic Orthodox Christian Mission'...and many many more churches have exhurted funds and human capital and energy in fulfilling these dreams that you accuse them of not partaking in.
The only reason there is still poverty around the world is because man's greed and selfishness is far to great for the churches to keep up with it, but they are trying their best.
Oh, and excuse me for saying this, as a christian, I find it insulting to think that an organisation consisting of priests and bishops control my life. On the contrary, they have been nothing short of a great support, great advisors and brilliant friends for me when I need help. There is far more to Christian churches than meets the eye, and far more than Churches like to advertise, because all that they do, they do for the glory of God, not for any other critics' satisfaction...
God bless you my friend, and I pray the you get to see just a small fraction of what I have seen churches do for the needy, just for your sake to have the same level goodneess that I witnessed and learn from it.

No. It's not the Creators job to bail you out of all those little man made problems we get in to.
The Creator lets mothers and babies die, women get raped, men get abused killed and robbed, and it's pretty much humans doing it all.
Nor is there some big red bastard of a hoofed bad boy making you do the bad things you do.
Free will, aint it a b1tch?
Check out some Sylvia Browne, or some Quantum Physics. They will help you use some of that freedom people tend to forget they have

In this world, there are many religions...religion is just an organization, community or fellowship. But if you are going to think of it deeply we are all thesame...MAN (or woman ^_^). and there is a one and only devine creator what ever we call him/her/it by our belief and religions. Back to the question...Religion gave us HOPE. I believe that if we do good we are hoping we can recieve something good also or better yet ten folds onthe goodness we did. But there are some (few) that believe in doing the right thing (good, helping etc) makes them feel good about them self bec. they are sharing their Blessing from him (what ever his/her religion). He/she/it gave us the ability to decide, to reason, to think. The devine creator is always there watching over us to what we decide for our selves but I also believe sometimes there is a devine intervention from the creator thruhis messengers. BTW I'm a Roman Catholic ^_^ sorry for the long reply =P.

God and Church are different.God was always there and will be there and Church and religions are created by manSo all the feautres of man like greed ,corruption etc will be inreligion.Modern religion is highly organised, like private companies, limited companies etc.Their aim is to make profit ,not to uplift mankind. If you see the lavish life style of Pope in Vatican defnitely God may resign.
