I was warming the sprouts in the microwaves for a few seconds. I had it covered as I read that it was better to keep food covered in microwave when warming food. (Just as well since the cover keep all the smitherings in side and saved me cleaning out the microwave.) I found this very unusual . I thought I might have left it too long but it was still not even warm. I put it in conventional oven after that lol! I am wondering why it exploded too. Thank you!

This happened to me just the other day and I was wondering why as well, only I was not as smart as you and didn't cover the bowl that they were in. There was more than just one that exploded for me. Cant wait to see if someone gives you a reason as to why this happens, I am guessing that it must be normal if it happened to both of us. We cant be the only to women in the world that can blow up a sprout. :) Much Peace
