In general all theological discussions are relative. People are humans and have the choice in what to believe. When a person from a particular sect of religion picks and chooses what verses they will use from the bible they are merely reflecting what they believe is right to them. Does that mean they are correct? Does that mean they are wrong? Those answers are only reserved for after we die. There is no need to point out hypocrisies in their arguments because their belief is long held and undying. Merely acknowledge their point of view and if it angers you the best thing to do is pray, meditate, or ignore them.

those christians are either 1: Jewish. so they don't recognize any of the new Testament. or 2: they like feeling guility and making things harder on themselves, so the old test is way to go. I know. I used to be one of those people...but life is too hard living by old testament..although it is easier to understand.

christian believe the whole bible to be true and all parts to be as important as others. I assume you are referring more to the law ie as mentioned in another answer eatting pork. The reson these as often not enforced is due to the fact that when Jesus died he was the completion of the law and a new convenent was formed between as as god, as the new testament refers to his life it is often refered to more

Some Christians take some parts not all and some have changed the rules as they go along to suit their needs. If it doesn't fit their life then they throw it away.

when the New Testament came (via Jesus Christ), it fulfilled the law of the Old Testament. That being said, there are still many customs, historical comparisons, as well as many religious observances that one can "gleen" from in it.

Christianity is a religion which has moved with the times. Some things which were relevant when the OT was written are completely irrelevant now.
