Having a best friend is a rare commodity. Its also a prerequisite to a long term relationship.

Live the moment, and enjoy the friendship.

Sometimes companionship can be very healthy for two friends who have yet to find their ultimate soul mates. If you wind up enjoying life together and you develop a friendship that is respectful of each other, all the better.

You can also mention to him that you would love to be friends as it would be helpful for you to ask him what type of guys you should be dating. That should get to the bottom of the motivations.

Well..it seems he has interest on you but you have to be sure what it is.We can not say instanly he has feeling when he already told you he wants you as bestfriend. You can not just trust anybody (especially if he is flirting). You can go out with him for you also to find out the real score. You will never know unless you try and find out yourself. Maybe after all..he wants you for a serious relationship (we can't just judge him, right?)You also have to be cautious not to fall in love so easily. Yes, have fun and be friends first then if it is meant to be then things will be put on their right places. Hope this helps. God bless!

Not always. But the possibility. If a guy asks you out he obviously has some sort of attraction to you and asking you out is one way of finding out if things could lead to a relationship. It's kinda like Lego's, or building a house, get a good foundation first and build from there.

He's flirting because he does like you, yet he wants to be your best friend to be close to you either way he wants to be close to you. Take a chance and see if he is flirting with you because he likes you or because he feels close to you, the way to do that in my experience is to flirt back and see what happens if it turns out bad you can always say you were sorry and go on with you life being his friend.

Sounds like he has some interest in you. But that interest could end in bed.. So..he may just be trying to get in your pants. Or, he could be looking for something a little more.

i dnt think if a guy ask you on a date he has a feelings for you, maybe he just want to be with you, and share his thoughts. He says he want to be your bestfiend,. so he only want to be your friend. Sometimes truth hurts alot!!!! Find someone else!!!!
