Why is it soo hard to appreciate the immigrant who work tireless on odd casual jobs that u the native of that country dont do. They make one see and appreciate the silver lining that u take for granted. Imagine they become the envy of their villages in Africa THE RICH. Will the native do these manual jobs? and if so would they earn as little as they do? Pliz be fair and appreciate them becoz u never know what u have until u loss it.

Why cant we all be allowed to move freely from one countinent to another with no rules and that way we will have no illegal immigrants. The tough rules that at times are unreasonable makes it juicy to beat the europeans on their own game. Imagine asking a poor african to produce a bank statement of millions so as to immigrate? If he had the cash why would he want to immigrate? Am against the illegal immigrants but then again who is willing to hear their side of story?

Prestige is accomplished through hardwork. People should treat each other equally especially those who worked hard for their status.

The problem is my African husband would like to do that job, but he can't because no employer will pay him a legal wage when they have illegal immigrants to do the job for slave wages. Can you understand that? Why shouldn't my husband, a law respecting person, get the job over an illegal immigrant, living in the country illegally, working illegally? Should the illegal immigrant have more rights than the person who is trying to follow the laws of the country and immigrate legally? If the illegal immigrants weren't here to work for illegal wages, then the employers would have to pay more for those jobs, and maybe even some natives would be willing to take the jobs. Have you ever thought about the other side? YOU need to be fair to the country's laws, to its legal citizens, and to poor people from African villages who are trying to immigrate legally to the US but who cannot get a visa because there are too many illegal immigrants already living there. Think about that and PLEASE explain how it is fair that you can be here illegally, but other people who want to come here legally cannot because you are taking their place.

ANSWERING YOUR ADDENDUM

First of all, the African LEGAL immigrant doesn't have to prove he has "millions" in the bank. If he wants a tourist visa, he has to prove he has strong ties, which can include a viable bank account. The reason for this is because so many people get their tourist visas and remain ILLEGALLY in the country. (You see how ILLEGAL immigration hurts the poor African?) A poor African applying for immigration status doesn't have to prove strong ties to his country because the immigration officials already know he doesn't plan to return to his country. He only has to prove that he has an employable skill. If he is uneducated, which many poor Africans as well as poor people from poor countries all over the world are, he has no specific skill. He is unskilled. Sadly, no matter how badly he wants to immigrate and how much it would save his family to do so, he cannot because all the unskilled jobs are taken by ILLEGAL immigrants. (You see how ILLEGAL immigration hurts the poor African. He doesn't even have the chance to sneak across the border into the US because there is an ocean in the way. Therefore, he tries to sneak into Spain.) I'm not going to address a borderless country except to say that while it might sound lovely, it is impossible. Until we can live in anarchal peace, we cannot have borderless countries.

I completely agree.. besides, it's a vicious circle, the more racism there is, the harder it is just ignore it, take the high road, that results to hate and to lower self esteem.. gangs.. more racism and hate.. the greater the gap..
For example, italians in Switzerland were taken in.. they sort of adapted, many of the older ones still don't speak German, the "Secondos" the children born in Switzerland are completely adapted. They make an interesting part of the culture.. but now with the inmigrants from Ex-Yugoslavia, the whole thing is different, hate is developing between both, and things are escalting.. It is only natural that people from poorer countries inmigrate to the richer countries.. the richer countries make the third world countries poorer.. the "international aid", actually lends a lot of money to the third world country.. but this money is used mostly to pay the high salaries of the aid workers, which mostly come from the first world countries, only about half or a third are actually useful for the economy of the third world country.. and worse yet.. the third world country has to pay it all back with interest.. we all have to face the truth.. it is all part of a process.. an obvious process..

The problem is that they are making it much harder for us to make a living by making us pay for their education and services. People who are not poor pay almost all of the cost of those things for people who are. That is why we limit immigration of poor people, as do other countries like Mexico. Africa has immigration restrictions, as well, although they vary by country.

The situations natives find themselves in are not due only to illegal immigration. In the United States, for example, we are looking at the first generations that are not expected to do as well as, much less better than their parents. Meanwhile due in part to underminiing of the labor force by cheap illegal labor, the worker benefits are no longer what they were. Pensions are rare and business subsidized health care is poor and expensive.

Meanwhile schools and healthcare services are degraded by stretching to handle so many, and college costs have sky rocketed. Accordingly, an economic class that thirty years ago could have expected to be able to save money during their children's K through 12 years to spend on college and to buttress a pension and social security in their declining years now has to choose whether to keep their children in substandard schools. If they don't, that is $8,000 to $17,000 more per child per year they have to come up with while at the same time social security they are also paying for will likely not be there when they retire and colleges are very expensive, meaning the need to save is much greater. On top of that, wages are being driven down by cheap labor so there is less to save from.

Obviously, there are a lot of reasons for those factors. However, with that reality, having to strain social services our own people need and fund them for foreigners illegally here when those services no longer adequately serve our own people is simply not accetpable.

Because the living that they are making are our jobs. In an age of civil rights, when a legal hispanic gets a job of authority, he/she hires as many illegals as they can, and it becomes a hispanic only jobsite and no one cries civil rights, not even the blacks. There is a much bigger agenda than someone just wanting to take care of thier children.

most people don't have problems with immagrants. it's the illegal immagrants that cause problems. frequently, these people will earn money, and send it to their families in other countries. this is a bad "leak" in the circular flow of money in our economy. it has large andlasting reprocussions that cause inflation, tax raises, and even depression (fiscal). illegal immagrants are a problem in this country, and that is what most people are concerned with. they live outside of the system and wind up leeching off of our country, whether they mean to or not.

many people are angry at the illegal immagrants because there are many legitimate ways to become a citizen, but these people chose not to go that route. they are those who our country would reject membership to, for one reason or another.

think about it...if you started an exclusive club where people had to meet certain criteria to join, but these other people (clearly not elidgable) kept coming in anyways, wouldn't you be somewhat upset? your club is being degraded more and more with each sub-standard person entering your club. (harsh analogy, but many people feel like this.)

Appreciating the Immigrant is not the issue. The issue is that only a fraction of those immigrants who have entered our country have gone through the legal process(if you are one of those who entered this country legal through Immigration then pass this on to any of your friends who have not went through the process). my brother in law entered here on a visa,he owns a trade business and it was important that he went through Immigration, it took awhile about 6-8 months. but he is now an American citizen.(of which he is very proud of himself for doing so).

When my original employer went to China and I now work along with Immigrants in one of those jobs that no one else wants. As as a project manager it is my business to see that anyone who works with me is in some capacity to be allowed to work here.

Another pet peeve is that the Immigrants coming in do not make any attempt to learn to speak ENGLISH or write it. that is not only rude to speak among friends in another language, but it is disrespect-full to the people of this country to brazenly offends us in that they are saying Ha Ha I'm here illegally and I will speak our foreign tongue. If I see any illegals running about, one can be certain that they will be on the next cattle truck out of the United States.

I think the thing that bothers most people is the fact that if they are willing to break any law, they will break any law. Also, public services that legal taxpayers provide with their income are GIVEN to illegal immigrants. Also, what's the big deal about going about it the legal way? Unless you have something to hide, that's what.
