If someone is held responsible....then it's not suicide...
it's either euthanasia or murder....!!!

Normally I would think no one could be responsible for another persons actions... there are always exceptions to that rule, though. If the mother was physically or emotionally abusive and the son committed suicide with the intention on hurting or getting back at her then, yes, I think she would be responsible.

Yes, in most cases someone is definately responsible for someone's suicide. Without a reason nobody is going to hang himself. There must be some motivation which makes a very strong negetive mental impact on the suicider.

In your example, if a mother is a prostitute and son doesn't know it, and someday accidentally he caught his mother with someone in the bed, it might blow the son. He may commit suicide.

That is just one case.

Thanks

While it may appear in life that someone or something is responsible for our problems or for certain sad circumstances that my befall us but in reality if any one is responsible, it is we ourselves. I don't think anyone can be reponsible for someone's suicide. A mishap may occur, a tragedy may befall us, but the event is over. It is our own mind which hangs on to the event, to the happening, its memories, its pros and cons. We cannot forget it. It plays on our mind. You attempt suicide when you cannot come to terms with life, when you cannot understand life. It is not because of the event. But its your mind which hangs on the event or occurence.

Yes someone can be held responsible. If they knew of the intentions and failed to seek help or notify the proper authorties, they are accountable.

Possibly, if it can be documented that the mother was emotionally or physically abusing the child. However, I do not know exactly what she would be charged with, endangerment to a child, harrassment?
