Here's a few tried and proven ideas for hangover prevention:
Don't drink. (doh!)
Take a Berocca before you start drinking. This gets a reserve of Vitamin B into you.
Alternate fruit juice or water in amongst your drinks to avoid dehydration later on. Avoid fizzy or sugary stuff. The purists reckon that about 200ml of water is needed to effectively counteract each 30ml of alcohol.
The alcohol in carbonated drinks is absorbed more quickly than in non-carbonated drinks.
Reduce the amount of sugar you consume with your alcohol. The forced metabolism of sugar AND alcohol by your body will accelerate the depletion of B vitamins and make the hangover worse.
The 2am pig-out. Pizza or pasta is usually best since cheese and carbohydrates are a good source of amino acids. Actually food is a good idea all round - before, during and immediately after drinking. Food doesn't absorb alcohol, but it does increase metabolism, activates alcohol absorption, and increases the speed with which the body processes alcohol.
And here are a few remedy cocktails. At least they won't make you feel any worse:

It is a scientific fact that there is no cure for a hangover. Alcohol causes dehydration which causes a hangover, the only thing is to drink huge quantities of water but if I were you I would start worrying about the amount of alcohol you consume, obviously too much if you have a hangover.

alcohol is a diaretic. it artifically removes a lot of water from your system. essentially, a hangover is really jusst your body's reaction to being extremely dehydrated. drink a LOT of water throughout the next few days and you'll be fine.
also, to prevent further hangovers, drink about 2 big glasses of water after you're done drinking, but before you fall asleep. this will help alleviate some of the water loss, and it will either diminish or prevent a hangover the next day.

My best hangover cure is to avoid one. Before going to bed, drink two or three large glasses of water real quick and right after one another. Don't go to the washroom, just go right to bed. Let your body absorb all of that water into your kidneys and the only thing that you'll wake up with, is a real urge to go pee.

When you get back from the pub or bar or club, drink a pint of water (or more) that should stop the effects of the dehydration (which causes your hangover). Only down side is that it could mean you wake up too early cause you need the toilet (or worse, you wet the bed)

The best thing is Water Water and more Water unless of course you have been up drinking tequelia all night (as drinking water the next day in ecess actually makes you pissed again - wierd but true)...
I drink that Blue Power Raid stuff as it boosts your sugar levels and settles the stomach...
If ya fancy food (which i doubt you will) try something like scrambled egg on light toast to line your stomach!!!

this works perfectly i promise.
Before you go to sleep, down a pint of water, as quick as you can. It helps with the dry mouth and dehydration in the morning.
Drink a glass of water, followed by a glass of juice when you get up in the morning. The lay back down for about 30 min, just chilling.
Drink more orange juice, or better eat a banana (high energey!)
If all else fails, get stoned!!!
I prmoise this works wonders!!

Make sure you drink a pint of water before you collapse into bed. In the morning, repeat, and go back to sleep; if necessary, take some pain-killers.
Make sure you sleep and drink water, drink water and sleep. They're the only things that work for me (from bitter, bitter experience...).
I suppose that the proper answer should be "Don't drink", but that defeats the purpose of the question! ;-)

Alcohol use, has some biological effect on brain which change the way of working the nervous system as well as brain itself. And this will result in a feeling in the person who has used the alcohol, we call it hang over.
I am not sure if the user stops it, will the brain and nervous system return to their original function or not.Better you research it.
Maybe other harmful and addictive substances have similar effect.

First of all,if the alcohol is still floating around in your stomach and you can feel it,it'd be best if you could throw it up somehow..get rid of as much of it as you can. Then, drink lots of water and a can of coke is a MUST!Maybe even two..take some advil or aspirin if you have a blinding headache...and most definitely try and eat something.I always crave for junk food or pasta when I'm hung over and it always makes me feel much much better....last but not least, take advantage of it!Sometimes its fun to be hung over[only sometimes though]..and take it easy next time...dont mix your drinks!
