What is your experience? I've been to the SS Office and the SS Web site; also M.D. If my husband receives Disability from SS, what kind of help is available for him? Please tell me your experience.

I just recently got off of social security and back to work. I was receiving benefits for a total of three years after a debilitating accident. Social security comes along with Medicare benefits. Medicare will pay for doctor and hospital visits as well as any medication that's needed. Your husband should be eligible for Medicaid through your state as well. I recommend that you contact social security to get a better idea of what to expect while receiving benefits. I've included their site below. Good Luck to you and all the best.

my Experiance with SS?

Im Epileptic, still having seizures, and Ive tried 4 times, appealed several times. And they still think i can work.

Its kinda stupid. I have grand mal seizures and they say I can work, when after I have seizures I am REALLY tired and sleep the rest of the day.
I also have a friend whos REALLY phsyically disabled, legs always swelling up, he needs a brace on one of them, goes to physically therapy, problems with his back, he shakes alot and all that stuff. it took him over 2 years to get it, had to get a lawyer and stuff.

All I have to say is good luck, its hard getting it now adays. I just gave up and Im going to college. If I get seriously hurt some how at work or I get fired because I have had so many seizures at work and couldnt work the rest of the day then That just shows them!

*Sigh*, yeah goodluck!

My dad was an MS sufferer but refused to sit in a wheelchair or even accept that he had a disability. He drove everywhere even if it was only a few hundred yards. He was 65 before he would agree to a badge for his car and that was because my mum had heart surgery and she insisted. He died at 82 and never sat 1 day in a wheelchair. How is that for determination
