Rememeber just because bad things go wrong, doesn't mean that doesn't exist.
To those who think that prove is only for us believers: You talk a load of rubbish. Faith is for everyone whether you believe in God or not.

Simple! They're angry little children that didn't receive many hugs and love. I see it every single day. It's the same profile.

Prove santa claus is(n't) real, there's as much evidence for santa claus as there is for God, or for the flying spaghetti monster that seeded life on earth. As far as evidence goes, they are all equally possible.

Lack of proof is a requirement for faith. If there were absolute proof, then there would be no faith. Convenient.

If God does exist, he does not interact with us at all. Everything we know about the universe has been explained without God.

Though, it sure would be nice for someone to prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that we have a soul that lives on forever and we don't vanish into nothingness upon death.

What do you mean disprove that there is no God? You are using double negatives which makes it positive. To say it in a positive way your question will become " Why do people try and prove that there is God?" What proof do you need? The mere fact that you exist proves that there is God.

It is not for me to prove that God is real. God can prove that all by Himself. It is not a head thing, it's a heart thing. The way that I first started KNOWING that there had to be a God, was in moments of imminent doom and death, something deep inside me would rise up and I would pray out to God to help me. I began to reason that my heart and instinct knew something that my mind had discounted as illogical. It's a heart thing, not a head thing. I can't prove it with my words, because this is the wrong tool to use. it is not based in logic, but in the measure of faith that has been given to each one of us. Spirit witnesses to spirit. It's a heart thing.

Your the one making the crazy claims. The need for proof rests on your sholders. Untill you can prove that god exists there is no reason to form a belief in said god.

God doesn't need our approval. He gives proof of His existence everywhere. When one closes their heart to God He isn't real for them. When one has an open heart for God He becomes very real. Knowing Father God of Jesus Christ, is knowing the Holy Spirit who lives within the believer, and has a relationship with our Father. Dear Lord please reach the people of Yahoo answers and teach them who you are. Be Blessed

I am an atheist and I have no urge to prove there is no God. You are right there is not absolute proof either way, it is a belief one way or the other. Belief is something that comes from within you, you either do or don't for your own reasons. Which is fine with me.

Well, the Easter Bunny says he's a figment of your imagination, that's good enough for me. Since, the Easter Bunny is not someone you want to fool around with. He told me that the Devil can "kiss his furry little cotton tail" and if he don't like that, then no Easter Eggs for him 8-P

Oh BTW, all 230 people aboard TWA Flight 800 were praying their hearts out just before it blew up....... ummmm I guess God was busy that day. :-(

Because their in denial of a real god, because their scared of the unknown, and they like to live their lives not worrying about being wrong or right, and they'd rather not believe there is a judgment day and will pay for their sins.

The burden of proof is on those that believe that he exists not the other way around. It is up to the believers to show and provide proof that god exists.. Simply sayin look around you or it's in the bible is not sufficent proof.

Edit:
There is no god.

Reason is a funny thing. Proofs depend on it. Who/What is before reason?

I think we've all learnt to take the world for granted. I see people asking for miracles ...they want people to do things that defies natures laws; to me creation itself is a miracle...I have no doubt about it...about all else, I only have doubts.

Now because there is creation, there must be someone who created it...but can it be proven...perhaps...but why give so much importance to reason.

Let us call all that we do not know, God.
