No it doesn't stunt your growth.
Yes it can cause depression in some cases and to generalise that ALL people who smoke it get depressed is just a lazy answer.
My mates dad has MS and when he smokes the stuff he becomes happier 'cus it helps relieve some of the pain. So in this particular case, smoking has the opposite effect of depression and I doubt he is the only one to experience this.
If you have an addictive personality then it is also addictive, as with anything would be.
Many people smoke it for recreational purposes (ie at Friday and Saturday nights) and they seem to be fine as far as I can see.
There is something call Cannabis Induced Psychosis which happens when you are permanently stoned from smoking one after the other (not chain smoking) over a long period of time.
Like everything else, I believe it's ok in MODERATION.
Another effect it can have is to give you a pleasurable contentment and peaceful feeling. I wonder how many wars there would be if the 2 waring factions sat down and had a toke together?
I also believe that alcohol is a far worse enemy than marijuana.

Any form of smoking stunts your growth....provided you are still at an age where you are meant to be growing.
Marijuana can also cause depression, and it affects your short term memory, eventually leading to permanent memory loss problems.
This is all apart from the fact that all smoking causes problems with lungs, throat, heart etc...

Cannabis comes in different forms.
Hash is a blacky-brown lump made from the resin of the plant. It's quite often squidgey. Grass or weed is the dried leaves of the plant. It looks like tightly packed dried garden herbs.
Less common is sinsemilla. This is bud grown in the absence of male plants and has no seeds. And cannabis oil which is dark and sticky and comes in a small jar.
Most people mix cannabis up with tobacco and smoke it as a spliff or a joint. Some people put it in a pipe. Others make tea with it or stick it in food like cakes.
Varies widely around the country. Grass is usually more expensive than resin (hash).
Some unsuspecting people have been known to buy blocks of mud, stock cubes and garden herbs from people pretending to be dealers. The most unpure Cannabis is called 'soap bar'. It's contaminated with all sorts of things. This makes it cheaper but it's a false economy really as it is often harder to get stoned. Some users hate it so much they object to smoking it.
Short term effects
Cannabis often gives sedative like effects that make some people feel chilled out and happy and others have one puff and feel sick.
Others get the giggles until the muscles in their face hurt.
Hunger pangs are common and are known as 'getting the munchies'.
Even hardcore smokers can get anxious, panicky and suspicious.
It affects your coordination, which is why drug driving is just as illegal as drink driving.
Longer term effects
Some people think that because cannabis is a plant it is harmless, but that's not true.
Cannabis, like tobacco, has chemical 'nasties' which can cause lung disease and cancer with long term or heavy use. Cannabis can make asthma worse.
And it increases blood pressure so it is a bad idea for anyone with heart problems.
There is also increasing evidence of a link between cannabis and mental health problems such as schizophrenia. If you have a history of mental health problems or are experiencing paranoia or depression you definitely want to steer clear of cannabis.
It's estimated that about 10% of users are hooked on cannabis.
If you smoke it with tobacco you can get hooked on the tobacco.
Frequent use of cannabis can cut a man's sperm count and suppress ovulation in women. If you are pregnant, smoking cannabis may harm the baby.
Regular, heavy use makes it harder to learn and concentrate and some people begin to feel tired all the time and can't seem to get motivated.
Most people will know of a 'dope head' who has dropped out of the real world.

no the marijuana does not stunt growth. SMOKING does.
marijuana can make you hungry, laugh, cry, depressed, loose your libido, worry, make you cough, affect the chemical balance in your brain and waste your time and money.
Get involved at your own risk! DO NOT BOTHER, whilst it has some fun to it, it is essentially BAD.

There are two types of herpes simplex virus: HSV-1 and HSV-2. Both virus types can cause sores around the mouth (herpes labialis) and on the genitals (genital herpes). Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV).
Cold sores sometimes called fever blisters, are groups of small blisters on the lip and around the mouth. The skin around the blisters is often red, swollen, and sore. The blisters may break open, leak a clear fluid, and then scab over after a few days. They usually heal in several days to 2 weeks.
The herpes simplex virus usually enters the body through a break in the skin around or inside the mouth. It is usually spread when a person touches a cold sore or touches infected fluid—such as from sharing eating utensils or razors, kissing an infected person, or touching that person's saliva. A parent who has a cold sore often spreads the infection to his or her child in this way. Cold sores can also be spread to other areas of the body.
Luckly there is a cure for herpes https://tr.im/56743

General paranoia is a common side effect of using marijuana. This often leads to exaggerated feeling of self-importance and can lower the threshold of mental health: depression or even psychosis will ensue.

marajuana is essentially a weed, not some nice exotic plant you smoke but a WEED (like a nettle) its obviuos bad effects are laziness, lack of motivation, paranoia, possible depression and evidence grows that it can cause mental illness like schizphrenia. Its long term heavy use (like at university) where problems occur, trust me i know. It also does nothing for your social life.
bottom line cannabis is bad news and all the bullh#t about it being fine and harmless is exactly that , bullsh#t.

I know people who smoke it every day and often, they spend so much time out of the reality loop they are definately a bit nuts, they seem screwed up in the head and imagine things that are not there.
