I got the cell phone bill a couple months ago, it was close to $1,200. I have been paying $250.00 a month on it for a couple months and just got something in the mail from a collections agency. To my understanding, as long as it is being paid I can't be turned into collections. Any thoughts?

YOUR RIGHT THAT IS AGAINST THE LAW FOR WHAT THEY ARE DOING TO YOU . AS LONG AS WE'VE MADE THE AGREEMENT TO PAY SO MUCH A MONTH THEN THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING TO YOU . WHAT CELL COMPANY IS IT ? DID YOU KEEP RECORDS OF YOU PAYING THEM ?

Don't creditors suck?

Here is the problem. Now that the collection agency has it, you have only a few months to get this paid off or it will end up on your credit report as a collection. It's probably already there as a late payment.

First contact the cell company and ask what their problem is? In my opinion, paying that much should be acceptable, as long as you are not running it up more every month.

if the total bill was for $1,200 and your paying $250 per month then yes the bill more than likey is turned to collections because cell phone companies want full payment of bills at the end of every service month.

Hello,
Some cell phone companies will cut some of your overage fees. but it looks like it is to late. 250 a month sounds really reasonable and with then now turning it over to a collector sounds stupid on there part. you do have a very good argument point here. Continue to communicate with your cell phone company... get everything in writting..

enable's say the sequence corporation receives the account on ought to 5-7 or eighth. beforehand it may also be placed on your credit comments they might want to deliver you a letter affirming they're attempting to gather this debt and examine were given 30 days to dispute the debt, that could purchase you till June 5 or with a view to get them a fee in finished and it gained't pass on your credit comments as a set. Edited the reason of the thumbs down is that sequence organizations do settle for such agreements yet no longer very frequently nor have they were given to.
