all i can say is that be by his side..is your definition same as mine which is when you love someone, you do not have to own them but just know that they are living their life great and that you you would be there for them when they need someone but would be good if they replicate their feeling and be with you? cause if that is the case..just be there for him..know that he is alright and who knows..he might end up in love with you because of the love you had for him and the care you have shower him through the days he needed someone but this type of situation dun occur often..Good luck
