The secret beyond matter?

Question

If god existed before matter, then god does not consist of matter because god cannot have existed before he created himself. What then does god consist of?

God is. He does not need to exist of matter, He is a spiritual being. The only time he consisted of matter is when He humbly came to show us how to live in the form of Jesus. And what did we do, we rejected him. And continue to.

We know about matter and what matter is so we find a scientific answer for questions such as yours....
However....
If you think along the lines of science then you may as well say... the big bang was the beginning of the univers but the big bang came from nothing.
That being the case, where did the ingredients come from for the big bang.
The same answer can apply here....
Who is to say what god Is made of? Who is to say that matter and atoms actually DO make up absolutely everything?
We can only ASSUME everything is of matter but it is not true.
What about light? Is that matter? Or sound, is that matter? Or a magnetic force, is that matter?
No.
Some things DO exist that are not made of matter :)

The premise of the question is faulty. There is no proof that God existed before matter. It's a philosophical opinion, but like many opinions, it would become more accurate if additional information was accepted before forming it.

There are two energies, both emanating from the supreme energetic.

The material or illusory energy is inferior, because it is constantly in a state of flux or change, the forms of which are temporal. There are five gross energies, earth, water, fire,air & ether, plus three subtle elements namely mind, intelligence & ego. False ego means to accept oneself as the material body, real ego means to accept oneself as a soul that is temporarily encased within a material body.

The superior energy is the spiritual energy, the life force within each and every living entity which is constituted of eternality, knowledge and bliss, the individual soul.

The supreme soul or God is constituted of the same superior energy, known in sanskrit as sat-cit-ananda, eternality, knowledge & bliss, the difference between ourselves, as individual souls and God, who is the supreme soul, is we are very small, our consciousness, the symptom of the soul, pervades the individual body, where as the Supreme soul is all pervading and unlimited. Both have no begining and no end.

As for the Supreme abode or spiritual world, it is an anti-material world described as ananda cinmaya rasa, a place where everything is full of spiritual bliss, nothing there is material.

The reason for the material world existing, is for the eternal individual soul to exercise the right of free will to exist separately from the spiritual world. Real love is unconditional.

In the Vedanta sutra it is stated that God is Shaktiman, the possessor of energy.

Hahahaha Roy W wins the best answer in my opinion. True, matter as we see it is not really matter at all. As someone who isnt necessarily religious, from my point of view, if Light can both be matter and non-matter in the classical sense, so can God. He IS God after all.

energy is pure information, free energy= free information, matter= stored information, so according to the laws of conservation, energy/information in a closed system cannot be created or destroyed, but is transformed from one form to another. This law is basically the key to understanding ALL of the workings in the universe, from the quantum level to the macro level, with all systems in the universe, without exception, us too, tranfering energy/information from one place to another, or one form to another, thus the goal of creation is the transference and recieving of information, us also, there is no human activity that does not require the activity of moving information. When we eat for example; we eat information that goes into your body and is then TRANSFORMED into another form that the body needs to function, the by product is heat, which is also information, when you pick up an object in your hand and place it somewhere else, you are transfering information from one place to another. When you read, write, talk, any kind of sensory feeling or seeing, is you recieving and then transmitting information. So you at death, still reatin that energy/information that is you, but are transformed from one form to another; the bible calls this your spirit, the most impotant part of yourself. It also says tht God is spirit, infinate and lives outside of creation, this is because of sin, a virus in the universal system, this transference of information has been affected, with the net result being that the energy/information you recieve is corrupted with information added or subtracted that takes your systems, and the universes, out of equalibrium with the result of forcing you to change or die, but you change and you still die. God id infinate and lives outside the universe, so with this virus of sin permiating everything, the system is dying, this can be seen in nature with EVERYTHING comming to an end- even stars and galaxies die out. The bible says tht the wages of sin is death, can you deny that this isnt so? The infinate therefore cannot come into a finite dying universe. But He did, in the form of His Son, His job was to save as many as He could untill He purges the system with fire, thesame way you would purge your computer of a virus, you save what you can then purge it, that is what God is doing now. The Holy Spirits job is to change the information that is you, to disconnect you from this system and back to Gods, thus saving you, those who do not accept the saving information are held bound to this system, Gods recycle bin, what teh bible calls hades or the grave, and when He clicks His recycle bin icon, hades releases its dead and the small and the great stand before God, judged and then put in the fire, deleted. Do you wanna take the chance? Or are you going to see the evidence and accept the truth? Jesus is real, His message real, His love for you real. dont harden yourself to the truth and acccept the lies that are out to destroy you, accept Jesus,today, before its too late.

He existed on the commencing up of time, and could proceed until the top of time.. he's the stress that binds all residing issues, and is likewise the stress that created all non-residing issues. human beings have distinctive ideas of what god is - yet all of them quantity to the comparable issue - that he's in each and every little thing and anybody. he's the regular power that makes up all issues.
