Yes there is a code for dentists; they mus be insured to look after the H&S of all their patients. Of course there is much more to this than dress code. Have a look at the attached.

Dentists practise universal precautions. They wear masks and gloves to protect the patient but also themselves. There is not any law regarding white coats or any type of clothing.

i personally like the short white coat with left sided button line ending with a half cole around the neck .. mouth masks and hand latix gloves are inevitable as safety measure for both of the doctor and the patient ..

The answer to your question is yes if they are performing any work on a patient.
They have to wear PPE, which would include face mask, disposable gloves and glasses.

I don't know if it compulsory but i work at two surgery's and one dentist wears a tunic and the other wears a jumper!!!

Yes, like rgular doctors! But they even have o have that white thing over their mouths while checking yours...even they are suposed to wear gloves!

Most definately!
Minimum is overall coat, rubber gloves and a mask!
If your dentist is missing any of these, rquest that he/she complies.
