Whatever happened to girls, especially between the ages of 12-15, having regular old crushes on a boy in their class, or on a celebrity?

Not that all teen girls are this way. But any number of them that are trying to get pregnant is too many.

I think it has to do with a lot of teens being neglected at home. Not enough attention or an absent parent..often their father. The need to attention and love is strong and they often think a baby will fill that emotional hole. Unfortunately they don't realize what it takes to raise a baby..the financial and the emotional sacrifices.

im in a serious relationship with my boyfriend we have been together for over a year we live together and im 17, ive been trying to conceive since i was 16, my reason for wanting a child is ive always looked after children and been with them, my feeling have become so strong about wanting a child it was taking over.

What made me see that i need money to raise my child with what it needs was this film i cant remember the name but it showed a 17 year old girl with 4 children no money nothing. She left her children outside to meet this chap and her 5 month old baby died from the cold because he had no clothes on.

I think programs like that should be shown in schools as part ov sexed cuz it shows her having the baby but also living with nothing.

Too many girls are viewing motherhood as a way to always have one person in their life who loves them. Unfortunately, they are not mature enough to handle the responsibilities of a child -- generally speaking.

When I was that age, having a baby was the LAST thing on my mind!

That's the dilemma of our society. Why are we the only first world country with such high teen pregnancy rates? I think it's because we have such an odd and conflicted view, as a society, of sex in general. Sex and sexiness are everywhere, but we refuse to have intelligent conversations about it. Especially with our children.

I am 14 and waiting to get pregnant till I'm MARRIED! I'm a 100% Christian since I was 3. I'm saving my heart for the one man I will someday marry and have children with.
BTW, I still have crushes!

Because they are missing love in their life and they think everything will be solved by having a baby. Because a baby is someone who depends on you and loves you from the start unconditionally.
