Hey Chris,

Any alcohol that is 60 proof (35% alcohol content) or greater, will not freeze. Don't try this with wine, beer, coolers or mixes and if unsure, don't freeze glass, plastic won't shatter. Like one of your other fans, I also freeze a lot of my hard liquor (this way I don't dilute it with too much ice... especially with it being so hot this month!).

Frrreeeze away!

James

No it does not. And this is one form of distillation or called reverse distillation. This process is used based on a theory that alcohol has a much lower freezing point than water or most of other liquids. In fact as far as i know the liquid metal mercury is the only one that has a lower freezing point than alcohol. In olden days this method was used in cold regions like russia to seperate the alcohol from the fermented mash. So simply put souther comfort will not freeze in your freezer.

Collectively, we all agree that it will of course NOT due to the high alcohol content... but it's gonna shiver its liquid butt off, being from the south and all! hehehe
