All stamped letters are first class (as long as you are paying full rate and not the mass mail bulk rate).

By law, the USPS has 7 working days to get mail from Point A to Point B, but usually, it only takes 2 days (depending on the locations of Points A and B).

I don't know about speed, but I know 1st class letters will get forwarded to another address if it's required.
