A dear friend down the street has lung cancer. Never smoked a ay in her life. She went through kemo and radation. Lost all her hair. is a single mom of two kids. She is waiting for the latest tests results back. I am waiting to hear back if I have cancer. It is very scaring waiting. Mine also is on my lungs and I am not a smoker. It started out with phenioa and kept getting worse till I was near death. They went into remove my lung beacuse the infection and fluid was eating holes in my lung. They found no cancer. Now the same thing is happening to my right lung. So they tested for cancer. I wish people took cancer more serrious and gave more money. I support the cancer walk each year in town, and it sad and it make your cry. So many have lost their live because of it, and so many trying to hold on with all they have. To only end up loosing the battle. If I had a million dollars it would go to cancer research before I spent anything on myself. I had a friend who was 27 and they found a lump on a her breast and had to remove the whole breast. That is young to have breast cancer. I wish there were more money for cancer research. But the goverment believes sending the millitary to IRAQ and Affganestan is more important then finding a cure for cancer. I pray alot even though I am catholic and do not attend church. I cry alot for cancer people and sick people. I cry when the world news is on...... One day we will find a cure for cancer.

I am a "cancer survivor", four years very shortly. But it's nothing unusual, about 1 in 4 of us will get cancer in some form at least once in our lives. We must fight it with good medicine & logic, and not succumb to the notion of "miracle cures", which are generally designed to do miraculous things to the bank accounts of those advertising them!

My fiance had it; my aunt had it; my grandfather had it. I know other people outside of my family with it. Unfortunately, cancer is a very mean predator! The only think I know to do is stay as healthy as possible and give myself the best chance I have to fight ever getting it or if I one day do!

I had my thyroid removed last year due to a stage 2 MX NX papillary carcinoma. Before they went in they thought it was the size of a golf ball and in fact it was a bit bigger then a lemon. I’m only 31.
