My grades are on a seesaw!!! I do study but I don't know how to study well. I would doze off at night everytime I'm determined to flip my notes.

Do it after school instead. I know it sounds horrible, but it's what got me to study. If you do it right after school - everything is still fresh in your mind. If you have room in your schedule for a study hall, use that to your advantage. Something that also helps me is to use flashcards...for everything. I've noticed that it helps me memorize things quicker than if I just read a study guide or text book. I just take the cards, and if I get them right, I put them in one pile - if I answer incorrectly, I put them in a different pile...and I continuously answer them all until they're all in the "right" pile. Another thing that helped me was asking my teacher. I had trouble with geometry at the beginning of the school year, and she gave me extra worksheets that I could do on my free time if I chose to do so. It really helped boost my grades. Another thing that helps is to have a seperate folder for homework and things that you need to study.

Hope I could help you!

Not everyone studies in the evening or night. Some study in the early morning by getting up early. First we must have a programme to study. A minimum of so many hours and according to a timetable for various subjects.

A trial test will have to be taken by a Question paper set by you. If joint study, then some one of your friend, each one setting for one subject.
See whether you are able to answer all in the stipulated time. For which question, you have taken more time and are you satisfied with the answer comparing with the books and notes.
This will give you confidence for taking up the exams conducted in the institution and you will see that you have started scoring more. Good Luck!

Try and study your notes right after you take them (maybe between breaks in class). Study in a quiet place with no distractions and good lighting. try studying 30 minutes at a time then take a 10 min break. Dont cram for a test, start studying 2-3 days before and dont review right before you take it. Play classical music when you study (Baroche music is best) and study with a friend if possible. You can motivate each other. Good luck.

It depends on what you are studying. I find that when I am sleepy it helps to get up and walk around and take short breaks to wake up. Don't just flip/reread your notes, copy them out by hand again. It isn't always practical but using a pencil and re-copying them will help the info stick with you longer. You might also take a cat nap after school and then get to work. Good luck.

When you decide to study, first sit quietly for a couple of minutes, take a deep breath, and consciously relax while exhaling. Do this a couple of times. Then , before opening your eyes, gently think of what you are going to study, and how this studying is going to matter for you. Avoid if's and but's or any justification etc. Again relax for a minute, open your eyes, and proceed to study. See if it works. Good luck and best wishes.

learn how to redevelop your own notes as mind map notes from the boring text notes from your tutor/ teacher/ lecturer/ instructor.

mind mapping notes in colourful visuals attracts and promotes better concentration, remembering, and understanding of the materials you need to learn.

don't wait until it's late to study. have bright lighting, post notes to remind yourself why you are studying, such as "i study, therefore i learn", "i learn, therefore i pass tests", i pass tests, therefore i get a degree", " i get a degree, therefore i earn". another good one is "i am forgoing present pleasures for future gain". it's your future you are talking about here, and you re the only one that can make it be what you want it to be.
