PSA 145:9 The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.

JER 13:14 And I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, saith the LORD: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have mercy, but destroy them.
Hmmmm if he's good to all then.....why he he not?
How can you put such faith in a book that contradicts itself CONSTANTLY? I put more faith in alice in wonderland then this bible.

Every religion has it's contradictions. That's why I choose to be a agnostic and question everyone.

Maybe we're missing the point of the question because we're smart and your question is stupid.

Over a hundred contradictions, huh? For someone so ignorant about God, I figured you went out and bought the Cliff Notes version. So, I guess you read the whole thing?

He's good to all, but if He needs to punish then He's gotta do what He's gotta do.

Let me guess: your parents divorced when you were younger and you lost your faith in God because, how could He do this to your parents?" Or, you were abused by your priest as a child. Interesting....so much anger, so much hatred.

Talk to God....He is waiting to hear from YOU!!!

It depends on your definitions and translations. The lord is good to all(salvation is offered to all, even the ones that would be destroyed). From his point of view things are different than ours. I know when I leave this body I am not going to cease to exist, just to cease in this flawed smelly breaking body. Is it a bad thing to be done with? The book is writen so you can find these things in it, that is part of the belief, do you trust his understanding more than your own, even if you would find fault if you thought abou it. A doctor tells a 5 year old I am here to make you better, and then gives him a shot, kind of contracdictory isn't it.

The Bible is just a guide.People who take it literally have missed the most important messages. They are love, peace, faith, and spirituality. And anyone can find these without the Bible. But since man wrote the Bible, naturally there are going to be contradictions and enough writings to make even me wonder what they were smoking....

Men will be men. But the heart knows what is truth. And you don't need the bible to tell you that.

But there is a message in there. A message of a man who figured out that the law was a bunch of man made rules for self righteous people who thought they were favored and could use God to manipulate their acts.

But he knew we were all God. We were all equal and righteous and that God really was about love.

Believe as you wish, you are free to do so without any consequences.

First of All, the KJB and all wisdom texts belong to All people.

If you understood Alice in Wonderland, then you might actually take an interest in it.

Psalm 145

You skipped line 6. It reads:

And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness.

If I could put this in giant hugo mongo print -

The LORD IS GRACIOUS.

Because God brings down his wrath on those that don't obey him, you will note that in the old testament those that were serving God won the battles even when out numbred. People only find contradiction when they take things out of context. You will note in verse 22 that God tells them why. Because of their sin {inquities} read the rest of the chapter to get the whole drift of what is going on.

its what I have been trying to tell christian people that they have twisted Gods words to make God say what christian want God to say there are many many contradiction in the christian bible they close there eyes and God haves a name and it is in the bible they refuse to call God by is name, they can call Gods first son Lucifer the devil that's what man have name him they refuse to recognize that God haves two sons (don't get the wrong Idea I don't worship Lucifer I'm stating a point) the christian in the religion business theres no heaven above you & no hell below you,you make your own heaven & hell on earth its your choice you chosen your path not God and don't plaim God for all the bad in the world he did'nt create evil man created evil when & if the world ends its because man distroy it God had nothing to do with it,man is the plaim because man closed is eyes to God

I never had put much "faith" in the bible. To me it is nothing more than a collection of stories that has changed each time a person tells it.

That's because most people don't know what a contradiction is! They put two passages together, ignore context, and then declare there is a contradiction. Often times these contradictions vanish when we examine them further.

The bible is full of contradictions because it's NOT God's true word. It was manipulated by many people.
