I just want to thank everyone who sent an answer to this q, i really appreciate the help each one has offered... I'm gonna try some of the ideas you guys posted and hope that i won't hurt the guy's feelings coz he's a very nice guy... Thanks again...

if u want 2 tell a boy 'bout da thin' dat u and him want 2 be friends only, first of all, u need 2 have courage. no thing is done without courage :) dan, it is also VERY important 4 u 2 be polite, (i think u know dat), coz if u'll be rude, well, how 2 tell u, mmm.... u have no chances. anoder important factor is 2 be urself, 2 be natural, 'coz if da boy likes u as u tried 2 show him u was like, believe me, it'll be very hard 4 u 2 be so in all ur relationshp, and there may ocurr between u and him sum misunderstandings, and it is possible 4 dat relationship not 2 exist more. so, u need: courage, politeness, and 2 be natural, and of course, sincere. it is important 2 show him u care, but not 2 tell him u hate him or smth.

Be very blunt about it. I'm serious. It will save both you and him a lot of grief. You have no idea just how cruel it is to hide something like this from him for a long time before finally spitting it out. The sooner you tell him, the better off you'll be.
This is the kind of thing that breaks hearts if you wait too long.

If you don't want to hurt his feelings just tell him"I really love our friendship and I don't want to do anything to hurt our frienship and I know if we go out and things don't work out our friendship will not be the same"or you can just tell him that you see him just as a friend and nothing more.I hope I was some help.GOOD LUCK!

Put things in proper perspective to the other guy. Tell him clearly why things cannot work out that way. May be he will appear to be distraught and keep a pulled face. Ultimately, he will come round.

Be honest straightforward and firm! Let him know and do not leave any "maybes" or "strings attached". Leave no doubt in his mind but do it tastefully..
