I have an English bull terrier puppy, and they can be extremely naughty, but often they are only trying to be playful. There's a number of techniques i have tried, such as using a water pistol.
This does work, but soon the dog will adapt to it, and you have to use it at the right time. Firm training is definitely needed, before your dog reaches the age of 18 months, but if it's already passed that age, ask your breeder for a professional to help train it. I would love to hear how it gets on, so mail me!
Good luck

English Bull Terriers are pretty much the same as the staffy regarding temperment. If you've had expeirience with bull breeds before then you have a good advantage as you'll understand there stubborn streak that can make training challenging. They are humerous characters who are extremely devoted and affectionate to there family. Early socilisation is a must as some males can be prone to dominance. Good luck.

Bull Terriers in general are very energetic so don't worry, it's normal! With age your dog will calm down but you also must do your bit!
This breed needs a lot of excersise!
Take him for at least a hal hour brisk walks in the morning and evening. Throw sticks (though he won't bring them back). Bull terriers are bread to chase and kill small rodents. They love parks with bushes where they can "hunt" in the undergrowth.
If you "wear" him out enough twice a day, you will find he will be a lot calmer.
You must not play "tug-'o-war' with him as it will just encourage him to bite and chew things! When he acts agressive; take away whatever he is being agressive with, turn your back to him and walk away. Any other reaction will be considered as "reward".
They are such loving dogs, just need to channel their energy. Feeding them only dry food also supposed to help kurb their "agression".
Hope this helps! Good Luck!

Hi, There a many techniques which you can utilise in order to calm your dog down but first it is important to ascertain the route of the problem.. It is possible for animals to have similar emotional and psycholigical traits to humans.. He is still a puppy and as such will have lots of energy, he may have high levels of testosterone (common in young dogs) which make him super agitated. Given time as he matures his 'mental' nature will surely drop get gradually better it is however important that you understand this but also spend the time to train your dog.. Pups like kids understand a great deal and are sponges for information.. Simply lay down some ground rules and stick to them.. There is alot of literature on the net that covers many aspects of a dogs training and advises you on specific aspects of his behaviour.. Worth the investement..

A well-trained dog makes everyone happy, including his owner. Take a little time training him, and you'll never regret it; you'll always have an obedient dog by your side. Find more https://tr.im/feKir
By their nature, dogs are pack animals with a well-defined social order. Through basic training, you need to consistently make sure your puppy understands that you are the leader, not him. So in teaching him the basic rules, you take on the role of pack leader.
To fit into the family circle, your dog must be taught to recognize his name and such commands as come, heel, lie down and sit.

Puppies are like that and it can take a while for them to grow out of it..
One thing I would say though is are you giving him enough attention? the reason I ask this is that my sister had a Yorkie that was really naughty...licked the wall paper of the walls, wee'd everywhere etc... the reason behind this was that she was attention seeking. She was trying to compete with my niece and nephew for my sisters attention. I took the dog in and she has been as good as gold with me because she gets my undivided attention as soon as I come home from work.

your are obviously not being dominant enough with the pup. bull terriers are renowned for being stubborn and wanting to be the boss. try positive reinforcement of good behaviours. Ignore the bad ones. If a behaviour is particularly bad, try squirting him with water evrytime he does it, but don't let him see its you who squirted him. You could also try solitary confinement for five minutes with bad behaviours. Dogs are pack animals and like to be with their pack, so taking them away is a punishment.

bull terriers are like this they are a very stuborn and playfull breed. they have lots of energy and have a mind of there own, they do what they want when they want. they need a very firm owner there is no need to be all nice and soppy with them if they bit you then you have to say no in a really harsh voice. there are many ways you can train them but they do have a mind of their own you need to be firm with them!!!
i have 3 myself and they are fantastic dogs when he dose settle down he will be a fantastic dog
