Oh...and i wonder, why is it that as soon as I mention the word racist, I get all these answers on illegal immigration...Did I mention that in my question?...'didn't think so, that goes to show you how quickly many people judge, without knowing the exact matter. PLEASE: read the question carefully and you will not find the word immigration or nothing like it. If you're smart , of course'...

SO. people say: what's the question: In reality is not really a question is more of an opinion, I'm just interested on seeing people's opinion on the matter, and which better section to post this "comment" than in the immigration department, where all the racist people gather up in the millions findin"buddies" that agree with their ignorance, and lack of study. But is not in my intentions to offend(honest) I just like to analize people's ways of thinking. even if it seems non-sense. I study their anwers and then I start to understand why this world is the way it is. because of people like that: Full of hate, ignorance, evil , but most of all..so, closed-minded and insecure.

I think so. People are too quick to lash out at what they don't know. It seems that people are quick to jump to conclusions, as the word immigration is synonymous with Illegal Mexican aliens. Really, people come here from all over. I hate it how people try to specify that certain places are mostly for certain ethnicities... Like America for Americans or whites. An American is just someone who has the spirit and ethics that this country was founded on, not the crap you hear people spew on here or Jerry Springer. Or like in Mean Girls, when Cady transfers in from Africa, the teacher doesn't know who the student is and automatically deduces it's the black girl. Nothing wrong with that, as it's the majority, but it shows how people think... be it intentional or not.

Racism is not born of jealousy....Sorry, but you're wrong. Racism is born of fear of the unknown. It comes from people not knowing or not understanding various cultures. People have a tendency to reject what they don't know. Racism comes from being closed minded. People need to understand that not everyone is the same and learn to except those differences. My views and beliefs are mine and it's not important to me if you agree. And I accept your views and beliefs even if they don't agree with mine because they are yours, not mine. And there is no reason to fight and disagree with each other over that. Don't be so self-righteous that everything you think is right and everyone else is wrong.

By the way, this was in general....my statements were not directed specifically at you.

Maybe people think you are talking about illegal immigrants because you posted this question in the IMMIGRATION forum and anyone on here who suggests that illegal immigrants are in the US illegally and therefore breaking the law and therefore have no leg to stand on when it comes to legal rights to remain in the US are accused of being RACIST, as though all illegal immigrants are of one race and everyone opposed to illegal immigration is of a different race altogether. I'm just guessing, but maybe that has something to do with it. You think? I mean, if it has nothing to do with IMMIGRATION, why did you post the question in the IMMIGRATION forum? Maybe you should have posted in the SOCIETY & CULTURE forum if it has nothing to do with IMMIGRATION.

My husband is a potential immigrant to the US, and he is BLACK. No one anywhere in the world experiences more RACISM than BLACKS do. Unfortunately, he will have a harder time immigrating, even being married to an American citizen, because there are so many illegal immigrants already living in the US. When he gets to the US, there will be fewer job opportunities for him because he is an AFRICAN and will face RACISM and because the entry level jobs, the jobs that anyone can do and that people would be willing to overlook his immigrant status for will all be taken by ILLEGAL immigrants. I don't think it is RACISM to expect people to play by the rules, regardless of their RACE. I don't think it is RACISM to think that people who want to immigrate LEGALLY should have more rights than someone who has immigrated ILLEGALLY. I don't think it is RACISM to suggest that ILLEGAL immigrants are jumping the queue and making it more difficult for LEGAL immigrants. I don't think it is RACISM to suggest that the rules exist for a reason.

If your question is not about illegal immigration, is it even a question? What's your point then? Do you even have one? Your "question" suggests you think you are superior to other people. I wonder. Do you not think my husband should have a legal right to immigrate? How big of a person are you?

Well, actually it's more complex than that. We are all bred in a tribal manner.

It only just so happens that we currently view racism in a low light. No leader wants a divided country - that's economically unstabling.

So, promoting anti-racisim (and pro-nationalism in many western countries), is more an effective way to bind people together. Most leaders know that this keeps people complacently paying taxes and having decisions made for them.

Anthropologically speaking, really there is no difference in protecting the interests of one's country than one's race. It is simply that we are conditioned to perceive ourselves as part of one clan or another (be that race, religion, nationality, etc) to stop us from really having freedom to question our leaders.

So - don't look at Racists in isolation. They are simply following the same trends that created nations since civilisation began.

Not sure what your question is. Racism is a funny thing. Me being a white guy think all the Mexicans and blacks hate me because of my skin color. Why is that? If white people had some only white colleges that would be racist, yet the black folks have all black colleges and it's not why is that? I could go on and on but am tired.

I am a racist. But that has nothing to do with my hatred of the law breaking illegal aliens invading our country!

I am a racist, but I hate all races equally, I am so politically correct that I even hate some races more than others!

No matter what your race is, if your here illegally, your a criminal.

Yes I think we all understand that racism is bad, but you have not explained how racism is a form of jealousy.

....And what is the question anyways?

*PS* ...your question is in the "immigration" section, don't expect people not to notice.
