Hi guys, i was talking to my mother today about what a couple should have in common for their relationship to work. Some of the things she had listed were moral values, goals, religion, etc. But what I want to know is what other stuff is important to have in common? And what about humor? My ex boyfriend and I used to laugh at a lot of the same things, but there were several times when a joke of his would go over my head or he wouldnt get one of my jokes. I love putting a smile on people's faces and making them laugh..which is why it kind of bothered me when he wouldnt understand a joke of mine and he'd just give me a weird look. My mother says that that's a silly reason for thinking a relationship cant work. So what do u guys think? I basically need you all to answer these 2 questions..
1. Is having a similar sense of humor important?
2. What other stuff should 2 people have in common for the relationship to work?
THANKS!
