Are you talking about the soldier who died but the VA will not allow the pentagram to be on his tombstone?
I think that's complete nonsense. Here's a wiki link for people who are interested in what has happened. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sgt._Patrick_Stewart)
The VA only allows certain belief signs to be on their tombstones. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USVA_emblems_for_headstones_and_markers) Wicca does not have an approved symbol, yet it is a faith. Heh, but for some reason, Atheism has a symbol...that's just beyond what I can understand.
Just my own opinion, but I believe that if the soldier had Wicca on his dog tags, then the government should respect his belief enough to put it on his tombstone. It can't be that hard to approve a new symbol for Wiccan soldiers. I believe his dog tags were indeed stamped with Wicca as his religion. (http://www.witchvox.com/va/dt_va.html?a=usmd&c=words&id=10928)
Oh, heh, I found a pretty flawed reason on why the VA won't allow a Wicca symbol. "…Department spokeswoman Josephine Schuda said VA turned down Wiccans in the past because religious groups used to be required to list a headquarters or central authority, which Wicca does not have. But that requirement was eliminated last year, she noted." (http://pandagon.net/2006/07/06/va-no-memorial-for-wiccan-soldier/)
Regardless of one's belief in Wicca, it seems really disrespectful to not allow this man's family to celebrate his belief. I'm not a Wiccan, but the religion doesn't hurt anyone. Most of the Wiccans I've met have been pretty good people. Just like any religion, you find a fair share of nutcases. Besides, Wicca is seen as a "legal" religion by the US Government. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wicca#United_States) The VA should just suck it up and allow this fella to have his pentagram. It's not hurting anyone and it'd make his family happy. After all, he did serve our country and give his life for his job.

Yes it should be allowed! Just because it's not Christianity, Catholicism, etc. doesn't mean that it shouldn't be allowed as a religion! Next people will be saying 'Should Muslim, Paganism, etc. be allowed?'. Every religion whether you believe in it or not should be allowed.

I think you are talking about the soldier who does not have a Wiccan symbol on his head stone because the symbol has not been approved by the military.
no one has baned wicca, but the pentagram symbol that they proposed will never be approved by the military.

How exactly would you go about not allowing it? It is a religion, and has been since before Christ.
