The pride of a man will be humbled.Because of the word I Moses did not enter the promised land.
Many times I have had this same guilt and the work is often undone.

Hubris is not the same as pride. It connotes pride, but when the Greeks used the word it was in a positive sense. In a Greek tragedy, a hero was supposed to have hubris. He was supposed to believe himself a God. If the hero did not have hubris, he would not have been able to complete any kind of heroic task. The meaning of the word has been altered through time, but depending on one's religious beliefs, pride (not hubris) would cause a person to stumble themselves. But that is because humans are innately fallible and will fall short of their own expectations. Pride will get in the way of truth. In the original Greek context, heroes were not fully human, so hubris was acceptable and expected. It depends on your perspective and system of belief. Personally, I don't see it as an attractive quality.

Hubris comes from ancient Greece. I believe it was intended to mean excessive personal pride. It was considered to be a very unattractive trait.

Wrong. Religion has no longer began the wars. Zealots, within the identify in their specific religions have began the wars. And why do you word your question in such an accusing tone? " What nation or "terrorist" will the U.S. assault subsequent?" Seems to be an accusation being leveled in opposition to our nation for preserving your little *** dependable. I consider we will have to pass after Somalia or Iran subsequent. No warnings, no discourse, no discussions. Just the bomb, degree the capital towns, the Industrial infrastructures, take out the streets, and bury em with a napalm cocktail. Make one among their thriving towns a crematorium. What say you?

Only for men. Women, on the other hand, are sinning when they do not have hubris. Strange, but true.
