You don't need to say anything at all if you've made your mind up-
...much less, "detrimental or criminalising" things about a subject so many people are sensitive about.

Well, as a Christian, I will not answer you by saying that you are lost and need to read the Bible, though I certainly would agree that if you are a non-Christian, you are indeed "lost" and you do need to read the Bible. OK, so you said you have read the Bible but just don't believe in it. Exactly which parts do you have difficulty with? Have you sought answers from Christian apologists?
So, what kind of detrimental or criminalising things do you have to say about Christianity?

It's actually not hard to believe. However, the saying is - never discuss politics or religion with others for this very reason.
To be honest, that's an attack on another's belief system. To say things that are "detrimental" or "criminalizing" as you put it would be considered such and so (although it's not proper) someone would respond that way. As a Christian, that type of attack is meant to inflame. I try not to make those statements about others beliefs and in turn, I usually receive the same respect.
In addition, many Christians feel that it is their mission to convert others. It appears you feel the same way when you say you say negative things about Christianity. Perhaps it would be best to say simply that you don't agree and leave it at that. If they choose to pursue it then it's a fair game discussion.

Go back and read John over and over....verse by verse, just study it...
Don't report people...they have a right to their opinion....unless they get filthy......good boy...
Sometimes it is just hard to believe...but I promise you when you do..........the Bible will become a living word to you. You will say, "Why didn't I see that before?" to a lot of it...because, until you know the Holy Spirit of the Bible, you really do not get it.
You go now! you can do it! The rest of your Life is counting on you.
You be nice to us Christians, G-d is not finished with us yet......;-)))

Like any other faith, there have been many atrocities done in the name of Christianity. There are those who believe in the existence of God and there are those who do not. God gave mankind the choice of freewill and the need to worship someone or someting. True Christians live by the Word of God, but many call themselves Christians and live a life apart from Christ.
Cheers

Probably because the ones who make those comments think that anyone who reads the Bible will automatically believe it and in their God. I hear that one all the time too. It simply doesn't work that way folks.

I hear you. I'm a Christian. If you don't believe in the Bible, that's cool. There's a lot in it that is hard for me to understand also.
Friends? Peace.

Well, christians think that annoying will eventually 'save' someone's soul.
Or they're just ignorant. Which is quite possible, given the amount of ignorance I've seen on Answers.

the detest crimes invoice has no longer something regardless of to do with any of the incidences stated there. All it does is grant harder sentences for issues that are ALREADY crimes, if the reason being shown to be inspired via hate. From extremely writing via the sponsors of the invoice: "Claims that the invoice will enable prosecutions of "hate speech" are additionally deceptive. The act punishes violence that leads to dying or actual harm, no longer speech. no longer something interior the invoice will trump anybody's good to loose speech." Janet Folger is the two flawed or deceptive.

That's kind of a stock answer with those folks. They mean well, even if they don't have a detailed rebuttal. Being told to go read is a lot better than "infidels must all die!"
