I thought "christians was a general term to identify someone who belives in Christ, but apperantly some people are using it as thier religion. What I found at thier church and many other christian churches is that all they do is scare thier members, by telling them that they will go to hell if they do any of the following and they give a long list, and everything is evil that is not for god, music, movies and much more!!. They talk alot about other religons and how they are wrong , They put down other religions to make thier members feel better. These churches enphasize on money and pass collection 9 times a week. They people at these churches are crazy and fanatical people, and its kinda scary. I didnt like what I saw at these churches and I think they are crazy. They think god hates gay people and talk about the bible this and the bible that for everything. One christian gurl claims there to be a passage that says we are suppose to hate gays. Are they crazy and brain washed?

Ummmm I am really curious as to what church that was....whoa...way out of world. It used to make me so angry until I realized what good it doesn't do....but it sure does make me SAD to see how some Christians have been giving them a bad name or a bad reputation. This is not a true Christian...when they sit there and tell you where you will be going....and a list of what you had to do...etc. That sounds sooooooo UN-GODLY. And NO CHRISTIANS aren't CRAZY!!! Basically the easiest way to explain a NORMAL Christian...It is following God's word, the bible...and from what Christ said to us in the NT...we are to be Christ-like, not Perfect...as there is no such thing...but be Christ-like...to recognize what Christ did for you on the cross, he forgave our sins so that we can have a relationship with God...he also forgave our sins as he knew we are short glory of God...we will never be perfect...we will continue to make mistakes each day in our lives...but to be able to do that...we need to recognize our wrongs...redeem them with God by thanking him for sending Jesus to Earth so that he could do such thing...a brave thing...to die on the Cross ...It is about Faith in God for everything in your life....EVERYTHING...because ultimately he is the Creator of Heaven and Earth....He is the Beginning and the ending of your life...but everlasting in your life if you truly believe in him. IT is soooo much more than what I can tell you...you would need to find a good, true Christian who can really tell you what and who is a Christian. If you told him/her what you shared with us here...he/she would just be shocked. (and maybe sad how they give us a bad name.) All religions are given a bad name no matter what they are and do....I don't really consider my Faith in God as a Religion...because for me it is more of a "relationship" with God...It doesn't really make sense to place your faith on a Religion, rules, works, in other people or other Gods from the one God we all KNOW...that is why my faith lies IN HOW I BELIEVE IN GOD, how I pray to him (communicating with him), and how I live each and every day of my life serving God by pleasing him every way I can, believing in Jesus' reason for being on the cross....and continue to serve him the best I can so that I may live in the Kingdom of Heaven eternally, as God has promised us, (John 3:16 and John 8:12). God has fullfilled our promises, hasn't broken any yet. I truly believe he won't...because he is not that kind of God. God is graceful, Mericful, and Just. It says in the book...he isn't going to break his promise...because as in the beginning and in the end of your life...he has been there for you and he will be there in the end, in God's time, he will take you home.

I pray and hope I have said the right words to show you who we are and I hope you won't have to see that kind of Church like that again...if you do...it is not good. We don't go gloryfying buildings, icons, other people, dances, whatever that just doesn't seem right in your heart....the ONLY BEING we should be GLORYFYING.is GOD, our Heavenly Father.

The problem happens when Christians choose to follow the Church and not Jesus Christ. You could be at a Church that wasent a good match for you. There are many churches. I've been to a few I did not agree with either.
Because I have tattoos, many churches will judge me on that, Jesus wont! But because some people are judgemental, some will. Its important to find a loving church that teaches the right scripture and that you can feel comfortable in.

I became a Christian this past year, and it has been a wonderful experience for me. I opened my heart to Jesus and I became a Christian, a follower of Jesus Christ.

Untill I opened my ♥heart and listened to God, did I truly see that God truly did love me and did exist, once I realised that Jesus died on the cross for me, I felt such a wonderful change in my life.

There are churches that are over commercialized. They are so obsessed with their own values and their own beleifs that they forget the other wonderful things that Jesus taught. Yes the Bible is against homosexuiality, or the act of homosexuiality... but you are not supposed to hate gays.Gay people were created by God too and God loves them just like he loves each and every one of us! We are all sinners. We are all equals.

Christians are not brainwashed, at least not all of them are.
Keep in mind that you are judging your entire Christian experince on one or two church experiences, and what some girl at your church incorrectly told you. God loves all people, Jesus told us...

"A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another"
John 13:34

This is what i have to say about Christianity... You don't HAVE to go to church to Be a Christian. You can stay home and read your bible and get the same info at home that they spend 3 hours preaching about. I gave up on church along time ago because there are too many hypocrites. I use to go to church every Sunday and i stopped when all i saw was a bunch of weepy people praying to be forgiven of their sins and then acting like a jerk Mon - Fri. Churches. Where is all the donation money going anyways? I have seen churches that have game rooms, so maybe that's where all out donations are going. Who need all that stuff when you have games at home. You should have to buy crap to get people to come to church. And just because you give up on going to church does not mean you gave up on god.

I suppose if you look at Christianity having the mindset that people should only believe things that they have tangible evidence, that being sight sound scientific backing etc., then absolutely. However, in general the Christian Religion is one of faith that being, believing in the absence of "tangible" proof. As for the so called "Christian Churches" you referred to seem to be practicing "legalism" which the Bible specifically speaks against. Although the Bible does speak against Homosexuality going so far as to call it an abomination it is important that people realize even though you disagree with someones actions you shouldn't demonize the person.

There's a difference between crazy and fanatical. Christians have something to be fanatical about whereas someone else may hold something else as most desireable that clashes with The Word of God making some of them at odds with Christians.

Believing jesus is god (or the son of god) is a religious belief by definition; you cannot believe in jesus and not have a religion.

Christians are no crazier than any followers of other religions. They're all equally absurd, if looked at objectively.

Rather than "crazy", i'd use the word "irrational"; after all, their minds (typically) function correctly, they just happen to believe a number of absurdities.

I don't know what church you went to, but that is not how Christians are. Read the Bible, it is how God's people are supposed to act.

That doesn't happen at my church. What to you mean by 'these churches.....' - i guess you're in America, well all i can say is that it's very, very different in the UK. Be careful not to lump all people together.

they are simple minded people that need someone else to tell them if they are doing the right thing. they can't think for themselves. Be happy that you are enlightened and see the true nature of religion. Live by your morals not someone elses.
